My doctor told me but at this point I don't remember exactly. Seemed like it was when I was completely healed...incisions.

I go with 2 friends to the Y and we go to Water aerobics in the deep end. I can work much harder there as it doesn't hurt my feet or my knee. Set up a time with the trainer if you have one. I started training for a 5K run with other people from the surgeon's office and then found out I shouldn't be running so had to walk it. Lost my motivation for walking then but love the water aerobics. I hate exercising per say!!!

Let's Check In November 2012 Sleevers!

In our family, we talked about our turkey neck with our double chins. My mom had them even when she was only 70 pounds a few years ago. Gained back weight after we got her in assisted living and when she passed away in April. It is genetic for me!!! LOL! -

I always had my protein drink with me at that point and sometimes held on to it and gripped it in frustration as well as anger at times. Sip that and remember not to take the first bite. I know others did but I didn't want to take a chance with my sleeve. I'm a rule follower, so I would look things up in the booklet with the program I was suppose to follow and decide ahead of time what I would have. I brought food with me. Had my surgery a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving. Stayed home for most of the day, and then went to son's for dessert. I took my pumpkin shake with me and my protein pudding. It takes planning. Other people may disagree but that is just me. Hope this helps a little. I did the same when we went to a movie and I didn't eat popcorn.

I was the one that had to clean my plate also. As our 3 kids were growing up, trying to stay within our budget we didn't eat as many fruits and vegetables. I know that our budget was tight at times, which meant more pasta, potatoes as well as higher fat meat like burger. I was dieting on and off and they saw that struggle. I had the sleeve after my daughter had it and was successful. Now her husband is having it soon. I try and be an example without pushing because my brother and sister don't acknowledge that I have lost weight. Not sure why. When I was concerned because my other overweight brother who is cognitively impaired was overeating, they think I wanted him to have the surgery. That is so not true, but the largest steak on the plate, a hamburger and bun, and large helping of loaded potato salad is a worry to me with our family history. Sorry but I needed to vent!!!!!

Down a little more today. Really .3 from 80 pounds but it likes to round on my ticker!! LOL!! -
I enjoy reading the progress!! I can't run it because of knee replacement, but am walking faster and can do more things. Still dropping weight and closer to my goal of normal BMI and I can tell in my clothes so that makes me happy!!

At 8 and half months. My hair dresser showed my on the crown how the hair is growing back but is very short. I actually have mine longer as it helps to cover up the thinner strands. Mine never came out in clumps but definitely thinner!!!
