Glad you had a good experience, Missy, and that your liver squeaked by!!!! I'm amazed that you're out tooling around. I just wanted to lay low the first few days. You go girl! :clap2: ----Toni

Dumb Question Rhonda....are you pushing a lot of water or Crystal lite??? That sometimes helps me move the scale, though mine has been STAGNANT so I can completely commisserate with you. I'm sorry that you're having a tough go with this. But I think that you WILL lose with the band....don't fret too much!!!!! Hugs, Toni

I hear you, Lucy! (and hope you're feeling better!)

Hi Java, I can't NOT drink while eating yet. I don't know if that will change once I have real restriction. I am loving that Dallas, TX doctor who told his patients that it's OK to sip while eating!!!! I'm going to talk with my Dr. about it tomorrow. Your son has the NEATEST wedding date. Is he by chance getting married at 7 p.m.????????? Congrats to the couple and you, Mom! Toni

Simply....I would be your dumpster diver! I love Taco Bell's Pintos and Cheese. But then again, I can eat a crunchy taco with them. Nothing is "bothering" my band right now except heavy breads like bagels. Here's to the beans! Toni

Excited about the band....YES, the diet, NO! But I do love AmazeRX....it's really good. I have Vanilla and Mocha Zap. I had to supplement my pre-op diet with salad between meals, though, because I was STARVING! (That was OK with the Dr.'s office) Good Luck, Carrie! I'm cheering for you! :clap2::clap2:

bcrazy...like you, mine was out-patient. Wham, bam, thank you ma'am! I was happy to convalesce (sp?) at home. Java....I have that drinking rule, too.....before and after meals! My problem is I just get too thirsty when eating. I haven't been following the rule now. I figured I'd wait till I was filled. So far, no problems. I met a girl from Australia who was banded down under, and she drinks with her meals,:embarassed: so does another US bandster. It would be so much easier if we were all on the same page, though! Quad Mom....I'm so happy for you! I knew you'd fly through this surgery and wake up banded like the rest of us!!!!!! No worries! And I had a C-section, too. Just like it, this gets better and better with each passing day....kiss-n-cuddle all 7 of your kiddos for us! I'm $30 richer today! :biggrin1: Macy's department store had a sale on their Magic Bullet knock-off called Bella Cucina. It was normally $60, on sale today for $20. :clap2: So I'm returning my $50 Magic Bullet that I luckily hadn't even opened. Oh, and for all of you with those LOW BMI's.....I'm insanely jealous!!!!! :violin:(and secretly happy for you at the same time!) ----Toni

Hi Hotty! The meeting tomorrow night is at a Mexican rest., but I'm just going to order a side of refried beans with queso on top! Doesn't that sound delish??! My body *feels* like it can eat anything, though. I don't know what size band I have, but I'm guessing it must be a biggie! I loved your explanation to Thinner...makes perfect sense! I went to the gym today, and after the treadmill just a little discomfort with weight machines at the port area, so I think I'm 90% healed! I just can't wait for my fill. Maybe I'm in bandster hell, because I'm ready to be done with the mushy diet and ready to get on with "it"! (patience, Toni, patience.....!!!!):biggrin1:

Holli and Missy, I am going to a support group for bandsters tomorrow night. It's a big group, and they always meet at a Mexican restaurant. They: 1. Eat chips and salsa 2. Order off the appetizer or childrens menu or ala carte (e.g. one cheese enchilada) 3. Order off the regular menu and take 3/4 of the food home. Hope that helps! ---Toni (could eat Mexican every day!)

Shoot...I got excited for a minute!!!!!! Who are all the near Houstonians? Toni, Nina, Minty and ??????
-
Nina...I feel like such a DORK! Have you ALWAYS had your Doctor info after your signature/(awesome)believe picture?!? Here I thought I was being such a cool detective!!!!! I live inside loop 610, too, but my Doctor is located in Conroe. Go figure! Anyway....GREAT to know another Houstonian on the board. I can't believe you do a spin class. :faint: I tried one ONCE, but I think I have to meet my goal weight to try again. It just killed me too much. I couldn't keep up, stay seated, etc.....it was a major disaster! :embarassed: YOU GO GIRL! I'm glad someone can kick butt on the bike! Hugs, Toni
-
Minty...I didn't know we still had any KMarts around! Let me know if you find a magic bullet. Maybe Macys, Bed Bath Beyond or Linens and Things? I don't have a magic bullet, either!:cry Still using my blender each time! Thanks! Toni
-
Welcome Glinda...congrats on your banddate, it will be here before you know it! I couldn't agree with you more...this is just the best site! So informative and supportive!!!! Glad you're with us! Toni
-
Pippz.....you are AMAZING! There is NO WAY I could go to NYC and NOT EAT----waaaay too tempting! Esp. after walking all over the place. Oh, and hunger headaches are the worse. Sometimes I can't shake one for two days. I just can't catch up from it. :speechles

You're my inspiration Java...if you can do it, I can too! I'll get back up on that stinker tonight, too, after I do a mountain of laundry. I just wish that I could burn a ton of calories washing clothes! Thanks, Janine----my partner in crime....errrrrrrr....exercise!
