That's awesome, Missy! Welcome to Twoterville! WooHoo! We're going to see the Houston Astros and Phillies today....I'm sure I'll end up having nachos, and make hamburgers tonight sans the bun for me! BTW...we can see your ticker just fine with the 29 awesome pounds gone! Cheers, Toni <---- a posting maniac today!

Hi Faith, I agree, Mari Jo, must be wonderful, or those two INCREDIBLE Doctors wouldn't have her on staff. But sometimes I just want to shake her skinny little butt and say, "Why aren't you doing your part to help get approval for these super-morbidly obese patients?!!!!" As for the Essential Natural Protein powder...it might be better in a different flavor! I just blended the Vanilla Cake with water and ice. I wasn't *crazy* about it, but it wasn't bad, either. The AmazeRX is wonderful...but it is made with Splenda (sucralose is an ingredient). ----Toni

    has anyone put weight on?

I'm no expert, but I think you are in desperate need of a fill! You should have had more than two by now, eh? Call you doctor's office and see if you can get in for a fill! Good luck! Cheers, Toni

Good Morning All! BB/Missy....you hit the nail on the head: on Big Medicine, I was wondering myself if Mari Jo wants anyone to get help. She seems like such a Devil's Advocate!!!! :angry I saw the Brookhaven show about a month ago when it was a marathon, and I liked it somewhat for the same reasons you mentioned....but I was so frustrated for them, too! Java....wish I could help you out with the wedding...I remember when my Mom went through the same things...so much to worry about! And in the end it will all be perfectly fine!!!! You're a GREAT momma! Insub....good to see you! How are you doing?!? Stef....I had a "deli turkey" moment this morning with a few bites of a cinnamon roll. When, oh when, will I learn that I can't tolerate bread?!? :faint: After it came up, I was back to a protein shake for brekky. Nice, isn't it? Speaking of protein...I went to a nutrition shop yesterday to pick up some Matrix 5.0 and the owner told me it 'wasn't all that great' and steered me toward another protein.....thank GOODNESS I only bought the small tub! I don't like it much. Sweetened with stevia...It's called Essential Natural 100% Protein and I should've known better....he was buffed to the max and looked the the poster child for Gold's Gym. I'm all about taste, and he's all about bulking up! Anyway, I really still like my AmazeRx best! Where's our Calendar Girl, Hotty (Heather) and Musical Momma? Anyone seen them around? Pippz, Cap'n GREAT job on the weight loss, I can't tell you enough! Nina...I'll meet you at Cheesecake Factory when we meet our (mini?) goal! Hugs to All! for now ---Toni

Besides Missy, did anyone watch this show last night? I'm addicted to it! Well, it's high-level interest because I think I may have already posted that I know someone who was banded by Dr. "Big D." Davis and someday I hope to lose enough weight so that I can have a lower body lift by Dr. Lomonaco! Anyway....if you want to check out the next episode on Monday, the 9th at 9 p.m. EST on TLC, they are going to have a banded patient (as opposed to the gastric bypass patients that are normally on the show). I can't wait! BTW....MISSY.....above your avatar, you may want to change your wording since you're in BANDLAND!!!!!!! Yippee!!!! Cheers, Toni

Hi Janine! I totally forgot about your son's wedding!!!!:omg: My Bad!!!! Have a GREAT time! You never did tell me if it was at 7 p.m. or not! <wink> I'm about to throw my scale to the curb! Don't worry.....I think we will start seeing it move again when we get our 2nd or 3rd fill, if we can just wait that long. The waiting is the hardest part! Sorry you have to wait three more weeks....uggggggh! Hang in there! Hugs, Toni

Hi Paula, If you check back a ways on the posts, you can see my icky confession on sliming. It happened the day after my fill from eating chicken too quickly/too big of bites. MY FAULT! I also slimed on a few french fries and a lean pocket. Guess bread and ff's are not band-friendly for me. I had no PBing or Sliming prior to being filled. I did have vomiting, but it was related to a migraine I had. Let me know if you have any more questions! Cheers, Toni

OK Miss Nina....fess up! How much have you lost?!? I have GOT to step up the Crystal Light/Water if I want to lose anything any faster!!!! Believe me, you life WILL change after a fill.:nervous You will no longer be able to eat what/how you are right now. At least I can't! And I'm not at real restriction, yet. That will be AWESOME!! I am looking forward to eating 8 bites or so and feeling full. Today I went to Chipotle and ate almost a WHOLE burrito bol! I hiccuped at the end, so I quit....I was afraid of you-know-what! <ewwwwwwwwwwwww> :speechles Thanks so much for the info on Complete Supplements!!! Has anyone tried the Syntrax Matrix 5.0? Just curious..... I need everyone to pipe up and tell me their Proteins of choice!:hungry: BS! Glad you're home and you're OK after the heart scare!!!! And congrats on the lovely little liver!!!! That must make you feel good and you deserve it after all your hard pre-op work! Faith....thanks again for the info on the blenders!!!!!! You rock! OK BB...where'e that Avatar Pic?!? C'mon now! Do you like this color green or is it too light?!? Just wanted to try it out.:biggrin1: Cheers! Toni

I forgot to ask this in my last post! I'm drinking AmazeRX which I get from my Dr.s office because it's *only* $48 for 3 lbs. which is actually much cheaper than the website. teeheehee I like it because it's smooth and mixes in a snapola! I mix the vanilla sometimes with yogurt or PNB for staying power and I love the Mocha Zap because of the coffee flavor/when I need a little chocolate. How about you? Anyone have or try Syntrax Matrix 5.0? I hear that's good and was thinking about trying it if any Junies were strongly recommending it. One thing's for sure: I'm PITCHING my Bella Cucina (Magic Bullet knock-off). My breakfast shake got stuck *again* this morning in the blending mechanism and it's still held captive there. Uggggh. Looks like I'm off to Costco for the real deal. Magic Bullet, here I come! I guess you really do get what you pay for! :guess Cheers! Toni

Stef....just wanted to start our morning off with some lovely regurg info for you! PB is productive burp, and happens when you vomit the food that's in the stoma, but not yet gone to your big stomach. Sliming is when you bring up food in your esophogus/stoma with execessive mucus. I've had some sliming episodes with chicken and bread and even when I took my girls to McDonalds to play and ate only 2 french fries!!!! <picture me running to the bathroom---not pretty!> I don't know if it's from eating too fast/too big of bites/wrong foods or a combo of it all. I found chicken goes down and stays down if it's reeeeeeeally moist/chewed well. I read, read, read on Obesity Help and know to avoid other foods like BREAD <duh Toni> and Broccoli. Just last night I tried to eat a "Lean Pocket" and the breading all over it was an invitation for disaster. It's painful when it's "stuck" and then the "sliming" was NOT fun, so I just gave up and had a bowl of cereal. :tired So learn from me, Junies, and you'll not have one PB or Slime incident! Laura, I'm not counting calories because I'm in the mindset that I'm not on a diet, but a lifestyle. I was told that I can expect to lose a pound or two a week and I'm very fine with that. Slow and steady.....BUT I really think it's neat for all of you who track how much/how many calories you eat every day. That takes discipline and effort!!!! :clap2::clap2: Enough of me! Suzzzie...I hope that you're feeling well enough to sleep in your bed, soon!!! I'm with Java...call your Dr. and speak with a nurse about it! BB...get that Avatar picture UP! We want to see you! Hugs to all! Toni

Hi Serena! Life after a fill is a LEARNING EXPERIENCE and everyone is going to be different. I don't want to bore everyone with my trials and tribs, but suffice it to say I cannot tolerate some foods, even though I try! And I seem to have better luck eating at Breakfast and Dinner....Lunchtime is a challenge. If you want, I can give the gory details!!!! Uggggggh! :yuck: I'm worried about your caloric intake. 400 seems waaaaaay low for the mushie stage. Are you getting your protein in? I love my shakes! I think you might be right about your metabolism, or worse, you could start to lose muscle mass.....be very careful! Keep us posted!!! Toni
