Cap'n....Wow! The transformation of your face and neck is unreal! I find it amusing, too, that you seem to be "scowling" on the bike, and in your new pics, you're smiling soooooo big!!! It's contagious! C'mon, Pippz...you're next to share the pics! Thanks, Insub, for sharing your story. I find that really strong on your part!!!! Honestly, I don't see the harm if you're not ingesting, but I can also see how it CAN be harmful to your psychie! Lord knows mine's been damaged along the way! :omg: hehehe! Cheers, Toni

Awwwwww, Dan....what a cutie! You look like a natural, too!

I haven't lost any significant hair yet, but I expect to anywhere from 3-6 mos. out.....ah, so much to look forward to!

No pain, no gain my friend....and I'm proud of you! :clap2::bounce:

Oh the gut-wrenching guilt! I can hardly take it, Java!!!!! Pass the tortilla chips and the remote!
-
BB---way to go! Don't ask, don't tell!!! You are making me chuckle over here!!!! Java...thanks for asking about my vacay It was wonderful. Is anyone from Arizona? We stayed in Sedona (beautiful!) and took day trips to see the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff/Rt. 66/, Phoenix, etc. Just love that state! I think I'm filled a wee bit too tight because I can't tolerate a lot of foods, so I lost a few pounds on vacation! I'm NOT complaining! It's good to be back and "visiting" with you all again! :ranger: (Maybe a few of our MIA's are on vacay too!) Cheers! Toni

Oh No! I'm sorry Nvalicia! What was the cause of your vomiting? Did you have a migraine or stomach virus? I bet your band is OK, and I'm sorry your Dr. shrugged!!!!! (I had a similar thing happen to me a month or so ago) Go get your UGI and ease your mind, though....it will do you good! Hugs, Toni
-
BB.....been thinking of you today and so glad you reported to us!!! What a relief, eh? :clap2: :clap2: I'm thankful that you are OK and the procedure was so short. Plus you got a fill, too! What a bonus! Hugs, Toni
-
Hi Christine....I'll bite! A fill is when you get saline added to your band about 4-8 weeks after your surgery to "tighten up" your band and add restriction between your stoma and stomach. In essence, your band is getting "filled". You'll learn a lot at your seminar, and have your questions answered, but let us know if we can help in the meantime. The 30th seems so far away, doesn't it!?!? Hope that helps, Toni

Miss Emma will be one lucky little girl if she gets her Auntie's hair gene....you've got a GREAT head of hair, Stefanie!!!!!

Rhonda....I am up every night in the middle of the night if I don't take my Lunesta, and sometimes even when I do! Pre-band I would have a snack! Oh the horror of being a night-eater! I'm glad that's behind me!!!! I love to get on the PC and look at posts in the wee-hours, and sometimes I do post then, too! Cheers. I love your new avatar pic. I think I can see your dimple!!!! Cute! ----Toni

Hi Missy!!!! Your husband and Capn Dan are making me SICK with the massive weight loss (teeheehee!) Kudos to them!!!!! I just had a quick silly question about his hot dog story...was he eating it WITH a bun? I can't tolerate bread of any sort, and was salivating over here! But seriously, that would make me slime in an instant if it had a bun for sure! <sniff, sniff> ----Toni

Good luck, Sweetie! Hope you get your fill <wink, wink> and just the right amount!!!! Hugs, Toni
-
LOL Insub....you keep cracking me up!!!! :eyebrows:

Oh No! :embarassed: BB....Big Hugs to you! Please let us know how they remedy the problem and/or reach your port anyway. Mine was tilted for my first fill and they were able to still reach it no prob. under fluro. I'm thinking of you!!!! Prayers lifted! ---Toni
-
Awwww Nvalicia, that just plain STINKS! I'm so sorry about that! I had a similar situation for my first fill, as my port was tilted, and it took the nurse a bit of time under fluro to get it right on target, but no bent needle or bruising. I'm so sorry! I hope they can get it flipped back for you so you can get back in business soon! Hugs, Toni

Java...he's playing "good cop/bad cop" and we both know the ice cream cop is BAD! teeheehee. Ask him politely not to be your food police the next time he criticizes what you're eating! Speaking of food....I'm gonna jerk my pork chop, Nina! Hugs! ---Toni
-
I can relate! My doctor called it a "cheater" fill. The next one will be better, and the one after that, etc.... hang in, and see how soon you can get your next one! ---Toni
-
GREAT attitude, Java! BB...I didn't lose any weight between my fills...just maintained, but hopefully that will all change with this 2nd fill! Cheers! Toni

I could have written your post, only I've gained 100 pounds since meeting my husband 8 years ago. We decided to finance the surgery here in the US and the aftercare is included (free fills). I know it's a hard decision....hard to let go of all that money, but it will be worth it to "have your life back!" Good luck, Toni -
I think you're doing GREAT, too. I wish the weight would just fall off with hardly any effort, but I guess that's not going to happen with us!!!! Hang in there, and know I can comisserate about the throwing up good foods, it's so frustrating!!!! Cheers, Toni

I walk on the treadmill about 1.5 miles 3 or 4 times a week! That's it! I need to incorporate weights at some point, but for now, I'm just amazed that I even get on the treadmill....I don't like to exercise!!!!! Toni

Hi Gang, I got 0.8cc's added to my band this morning...now I have 6.8 cc's total. I'm hoping that it will help me with my portions. Previously, I was able to eat more than a cup of food/meal. Hope everyone is off to a good start this week. I'm going to watch Big Medicine on the treadmill tonight!!!! Here's a preview: Big Medicine Deathly Ill After disobeying the doctors' orders, Marc Brackens develops life threatening blood clots in his legs. Garth and his father have to decide whether or not to perform gastric bypass surgery on Andrew, who at 17 would be one of their youngest patients ever. Cheers, Toni
