Hi Laura, Sorry for the grossness of this, but the food comes back up with a good amount of slime (saliva + stomach stuff?). It doesn't hurt....unless the food got "stuck" to start with: there's no heaving or anything. It's almost like a reguritation that's uncontrollable and I despise it. One time it even happened with Rice Krisipies! It normally wouldn't (happen with Rice Krisipies)....my band is just finicky that way. Or I may need a slight unfill....who knows? Thanks for asking, though! Feels good to "let it all out here!" ---Toni

Laura....You are doing GREAT with your weight loss!!!! Kudos!!! I wasn't put on a restrictive diet, but the band is *doing* that for me. I have lots of foods I can't tolerate---any sort of bread right at the top of the list and it is depressing... ....depressing because there are so many foods that have bread/toast/etc. and I avoid them, but the weight isn't falling off!!! teeheehee ...e.g. tonight my family had sandwiches and chips for dinner, and I just drank a protein shake. Even the sandwich meat will make me slime for some reason.....I guess maybe I eat it too fast? Dunno. Anyway, not the answer you were looking for, but wanted to vent, I guess! So thanks! ----Toni

My Dr. recommends and I really like the taste of AmazeRX....I usually drink the Swiss Vanilla but if you're a coffee slave (like me!) the Mocha Zap is delish, too! I also like Isopure ---Toni

Any Junk Food Junkies care go join me?
toniteach replied to musicalmomma's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have a hard time eating a LOT of foods.....they cause sliming and PB'ing, so I have found a lunch that I love and that I am eating on a near-week-day-basis: Wendy's small Chili and <gasp> Vanilla Frosty Float made with Diet Coke. It's only a $3.00 lunch and very satisfying. I LOVE it. I think it's half junk, because I shouldn't be eating/drinking the float, but I can't stop myself!!!! If I would only exercise, I could justify it..... OK, at least it's off my chest and I've admitted it "to the world". Thanks, Gang...I feel much better. Now for my Act of Contrition!!! ---Toni -
I know I am in the minority here, but if we could consider a weekend that would be GREAT....I would be coming solo and my Dh would be looking after our children. Thanks! ----Toni (I'd be so happy if I lost TWENTY pounds by Vegas!) :faint:

Hysterical!!!!!! And I know *exactly* what you are going through, Marga! I did really well on vacation because I didn't/couldn't snack, but I have to watch it now, or I could grab here-n-there all day! :kiss Those calories stack up! Plus, I still don't get that "I'm full" feeling at meal time. I'm not exactly measuring my food, either. Maybe that's why I haven't lost a boat-load? But if I measured out a cup of whatever for dinner, I know it wouldn't be enough. Sorry...just wanted to commiserate!!!!!:cry Hopefully by our 3rd fill we'll be feeling better restriction. That's what I'm looking forward to!
