Stomach Gurgles
Geminidrive replied to jcsleeved2013's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I take omeprazole daily, my stomach still gurgles. Maybe if I drink a Pepsi the gurgling will stop. (J/k) -
I was really directing my question to the OP. From what I have read the master cleanse is not a very healthy fast. I'm trying to find out if the OP is trying to jump start her weight loss or just wants to try the fast. Seems like the wrong thing to do for someone less than even 6 months post op. But that's my opinion.

If you feel that's the right choice for you, go for it! You have to be comfortable and if you think this is best solution for you, go for it. Hmmm......very Interesting responses. Wow!!

What's the purpose? Why would you want to do a master cleanse? I think you already know the answer to your question.

Hot sauce and jalapenos

Love hot foods and I can still eat most things, but I might not be able to tolerate the high Scoville scale heat items because you need something to wash away that throat heat. Lol -
Stomach Gurgles
Geminidrive replied to jcsleeved2013's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yep, mine gurgles all the time. Between myself and my dog I don't know who's stomach is louder. -
Here are my thoughts on this, why not focus on yourself and ignore what the others are doing. Far too many times do I see where "we" focus on others instead of ourselves. If they are trying to lose weight, good for them. I always said I could care less what others are doing as long as it isn't affecting me. Life is a whole lot easier when you take to the time to embrace YOU instead of others. Good luck with your weight loss!

WOULD U DO IT AGAIN?
Geminidrive replied to chicha2012's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Yes I would do it again. Surgery 10/08/2012, no pain, no gas, no nausea! So far I have lost 66 lbs with much more to lose. -
Drinking with meals
Geminidrive replied to JennyBeth's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think the hard part is getting adjusted to the wait time before drinking. Basically it is behavior modification. I eat until just before I have that full feeling and then stop, I then start my timer and wait for it to go off. In the meantime I find myself busy doing other things and most times now when the timer goes off I don't have to instantly take a sip. When at work I try to take a walk and talk with colleagues, before you know it 1/2 hour or more has passed. You will have to learn to change your behavior. As for soda, I would drink diet Pepsi daily, I don't miss it at all. Oh, and BTW I stopped the day I had the surgery (10/8/2012). The less you stress about what you can't do before you are required to do it, the better off you will be. This is a small sacrifice in my opinion. -

Misery loves company
Geminidrive replied to ThikNjuCee's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are giving him too much power, when you allow someone that you are no longer in a relationship get you riled up like this you are doing yourself a disservice. Now you know you can't ask him to bring you anything. Since you have a child together and you undoubtbly will be seeing him when he drops your son off, be proactive-make sure you have everything you need in your home for your Pre and post surgery. Most importantly focus on yourself and ignore his nonsense. Good luck. -
How do you not go broke?
Geminidrive replied to lilbearzmom's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have a tailor that I will be using. I have way too many articles of clothing that I can have tailored as opposed to purchasing new. I tend to wear tailored timeless pieces so tailoring is the best option for me. As For the sweats I'll wear them until they fall off. -
What to do......?
Geminidrive replied to Jessielynn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I say purchase another scale. I had that problem, my scale was not calibrated properly and I wanted to make sure I had an accurate reading. -
Seriously struggling with getting my protein
Geminidrive replied to jcsleeved2013's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You can try the Protein Gelatin, 25 grams of protein. See below: http://www.nashuanutrition.com/store/gelatins/protica-protein-gem-gelatin-3-pack.html -
Doesn't bother me, I find that I watch the food/cooking shows now more than Pre surgery. I guess that automatic trigger, that gag/fullness feeling in my head is a constant reminder.

Hmmmmm, damned if you do and damned if you don't. Some like the soft approach and others don't. You will never get everyone to agree or like everything. Such is life........

Can I Slap You Now?
Geminidrive replied to Vidalia's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I haven't had anyone give me negative responses, but I would have said to her with a smile on my face, "Aw good for you sweetie now back to me, I had this surgery because my butt was fat and I was in poor health and I decided to take control of my body, hence the reason I'm here." -
HILARIOUS!!!

Over ate feeling before and after
Geminidrive replied to st2011's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I haven't over eaten since surgery but there is now an internal trigger that tells you that you are getting full. If you know your body, you will put your fork down. -

Losing 85% of your stomach 4ever
Geminidrive replied to christy38's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
The fact is they will come up with a better surgery, like you mentioned medicine is always evolving. For me I don't worry about it, I'm living in the now so I took the best option for me. If you are worried, perhaps you should take a step back and wait a while before making this life changing decision. -
