  1. You will definitely be tested, but go prepared with your liquids and focus on the fun not the food. I know it will be hard.
  2. I agree with others on taking the boots back. Nordstrom has the best retail return policy going. Don't be sad, you might be able to find a nicer pair of boots next year and they might be on sale during Nordstrom's Half Yearly sale.

    Fat, Normal or Skinny

I don't know.....I didn't have any pain, gas or nausea after the surgery, and everything else seems easy to me (I know this may change and I'm up for the challenge when and if that happens.) Maybe I can attribute my experience to where I am in life, my attitude and outlook on life. I think it's good to be mentally prepared for change and if you aren't ready it will be harder to manage. A book and workbook that was helpful for me was "The Beck Diet Solution, Train your Brain to Think Like a Thin Person" by Judith S. Beck. It is an invaluable investment.

    Hair

. Seems like that is the case. Yeah, it's not pleasant losing hair and for me if it continues I'll cut it all off. After all losing hair is not the worst thing in life that can happen right? I guess I'll just have to wait and see. As long as the weight keeps coming off, I'm GOOD!

    Fat, Normal or Skinny

For those who have already had vertical sleeve surgery surgery, did you have the surgery to become a normal size or to be skinny, skinny seems to be a theme on some of the posts? I had the surgery to get back to being a normal size, I have never been skinny, nor do I want to be skinny. What has been the hardest part of your surgery, aftercare and maintenance? Nothing so far, but this doesn't mean that wont change over the long haul. Did this surgery boost your confidence? No, I've never had low self esteem, I'm outgoing and not afraid to speak up. That's one of the reasons for the surgery, I didn't want my weight to negatively impact my life.

. That's inappropriate! I do feel you need to address it, either in person or by email. If you continue to allow him or others ridicule you, it will never stop.

What was the point of him showing the video, just to embarrass you? I don't get it, why would somebody do that? Did you say anything to your boss?
  19. I agree! I really can't get my head around why all the shenangan's some go through, hiding what you eat, the concocted stories about what surgery you had. Any time you have to put that much effort into something to benefit others it is in my opinion unnecessary stress. Oh, Snapper is a very tasty fish.
  20. Cmon now......Hmmmm, are you eating for yourself or the strangers? The healthy portion is what your sleeve can handle, don't worry about the strangers.

    HURT BY COWORKERS

. My goodness, see all of the ranting was for nothing! Now go back to your coworker who asked and offer her some suggestions on what they can get you so you will be happy.

    Really People

No, nothing but support from family and friends. Ignore what they say, don't give them the power to annoy you. As long as they aren't being disrespectful ignore them. I've learned that some people like to compare their situation to yours and sometimes like to one up you, I just ignore the foolishness.
  23. You just had you surgery a little over 1 month ago, how is that possible? Wow.
  24. If you had a heart attack, you should go see a cardiologist, besides it is for your well being. I understand that it may be costly, but I'm sure it will be best in the long run. Check to see if there are low cost cardiology clinics in your area. Check teaching hospitals. Good Luck!
