    Lack of support

Uppr, I'm sorry your mom's surgery didn't go well I'm sure it must be hard for her. Sometimes even family dont know our struggles. I'm glad you have the support of your sister and hubby.

    Lack of support

Sorry you are going through this. Have your parents said why they are so against you having this surgery?
  4. My surgeon said the same thing, he added it was going to be hard enough to focus on the liquids and Protein shakes one more thing would just be more difficult.

    Joint aches and pains!

Try a hot bath with Epsom salts to help relieve the joint pain. Heating pads may help relieve the pain in areas as well. I would also f/u with an orthopedic surgeon to be evaluted.

Hi, 180 might be an idea weight since you are tall. Just remember you can always adjust your weight goals as you start to lose the weight. Good luck!

    Wedding anniversary.

How about take the food out of the day? Do something fun, go to the movies, go purchase a piece of jewelry, go have a couples massage. Plan a date to celebrate your anniversary 6 months from now. This is just temporary.

    I'm not telling.

Anyone who wants to know, I even put it on Facebook (J/k). Serously, I don't have any problems with anyone knowing I have had surgery, if I can help someone else I'm all for it. I don't worry about what others say or think about me.

    No pre-op diet required?

I wasn't required to do the Pre-op diet either. My surgeon said it is not necessary. I only had to do the Pre op laxative prep the day prior to surgery. Let me also mention, post op no pain, no gas and I have lost 68lbs since surgery 10/8. I also have not had any problems adjusting in any stage.

Im having a moment of regret

No, I didn't, I guess I'm just in a different place in my life than others. Just remember this too shall pass for you, try to find something that will occupy your time. Start a new hobby to take the focus off of this for a while, sometimes that helps.
