Start of 2 week pre op diet: 385
Day of surgery. 367
Today. 349
36 pounds in 5 weeks, 18 since surgery, guess ill take it lol.
Yogurt never tasted better today, did 2 1/2 weeks of liquid diet since surgery. Still trying to get energy up. Went back to work 5 days post op with no problems. Never had pain, nausea or vomiting. Only took pain meds at hospital, never after...
Hopefully a smooth track continues, with rapid weightloss...

I'm also 2 days post op and am not sure how I feel at this point. I'm happy to be home but feeling emotional and unsure.
I've been able to get my Water in and sugar free Popsicles. No nausea or vomiting at all. Can keep all the meds down.
I'm site but not in any real pain
Not sure why I feel like crying all the time
I'm holding on to the fact that everyone says these first days are the worst!
Hopefully things only get better from this point on
Congrats to everyone on their new sleeve!

I was just thinking about you and wondering how you were doing. I hope day 3 is the turnaround for you and you can keep those pain meds down. Were they able to do the single incision?

I'm in a similar situation lost about 20+ pounds during my first week, how was eating/how was everything going down? What was your meals for the day?

I'm in the hospital two days post-op. Overall I feel okay but i'm having difficulty keeping my liquid pain meds down. I've kept down juice, Water, and a popsicle but I can't seem to handle the oral pain meds so I've vomited three times. I'm hoping to go home tomorrow but I don't know if that will be possible if I can't tolerate the pain meds
Going to bed for the night. I'm hoping for day 3 to be a turn-around day like everyone says. Fingers crossed!

...I am down 17.4 lbs, I'm under 300 and my doctor, the nurse and NUT are over the moon about my success. I moved up to puréed for the next 2 weeks. Made broiled haddock as my first dinner. It was so delicious! It's amazing to be able to chew. Very excited.
Here is to many more pounds lost in my very near future...cheers!!

I only regretted it when I woke up in recovery to the nurse telling me to keep breathing... and she told me two or three times and then they brought in the oxygen and then in a couple of hours as the anesthesia wore off, I got better and then they took me down and put me in a room. My surgery was about 9am and I'm not sure if it was the same day or the next day they had me get up and walk around the nurses station. They had the rooms in a circle around a nurses station. I walked it at least three times while I was there. But that wasn't too bad because I was still on pain medicine so my knees didn't hurt.

I had some pretty bad nausea issues up until about 4 weeks post op. They put me on hardcore anti nausea stuff 24/7 and even then it still wasn't enough. At some point my body just got over it, though. Hopefully time will help

im really sorry you are feeling this way. i do remember feeling this way the first 4 days and it was awful. i hope and pray that you get better soon.i battled nausea as well and still do from time to time and i still take my medicine prescribed.
are you in physical pain from incisions or internally when fluids go down?. have you tried warm tea/ the tea helped and saved me so much. it got alot of gas out and made me feel much better! what does your doctors office say? i know how you feel about regretting your decision because i did too but i can only say it does get better. i am now 11 days post op and feel pretty good. i hope you feel better soon! keep us posted

So nauseous. I can barely get any Protein in. All I do is sip Water. Plus I only feel ok if I'm laying down. The second I get up I am so nauseous. Doctor prescribed dissolvable zofran. It helps the first hour but then the next five are agony. Did anyone else experience this??? I'm regretting my decision to have the surgery. I just want to feel better.

Don't remember when really started feeling that good seems like a blur now. Seven days after surgery hurricane sandy hit my area and we had no power for a week. I feel ok now. Not 100% yet. I work everyday but in bed by like 830 am exhausted. I now I do not get enough Protein or fluids in and I'm sure that's why so tired but I do my best.

I'm 5'5. When I started the surgery process my BMI was 40. I'm not sure what it is now. Didn't think to ask the dr.

I'm 4.5 months out & find myself getting discouraged occasionally but have had some incredible moments & I'm writing them down to come back to on my "I'm making no headway" days!!
Since 06/18/12 (start my 10 diet) I've lost 87 lbs & 55.5 inches!
Bras at Lane Bryant didn't come small enough so I went to Victoria Secret to make my first purchase there ever!
I bought a cute outfit that the mannequin was wearing at Old Navy (after grabbing the XXL & finding I could really wear the XL)!
I can cross my legs.
I can easily see my collar bones!
My whole family is now healthier (my hubby lost 50 lbs just being supportive & eating what I eat)!
We are now those "granola loving, organic, locally produced, no processed food" weirdos & I'm ok with that (although I do have a huge cheat of Sugar Free Chocolate covered toffee as a treat pretty often & I know that's terrible for me but its oh so good)!
I have very few clothes bc even the big stuff I was continuing to wear literally falls off while I'm walking!
My little girl shows me with her arms how big I used to be & how big I am now!
I'm sure there are more but since I've been stalled at this 85 lb mark, I need a visual of how far I've come!!

I had my 3 1/2 month post op visit. My highest weight was 239. My surgery was on 8/7/12 and weighed 231. I weighed in last Friday and weighed 179. My dr was very pleased, and said you are doing great !!! You were small to begin with anyway. He asked me to speak to some potential surgery people, and I was happy to talk to everyone in the office about my success. They all said they would never thought I had surgery. I seem too small. I've never heard anyone call me small in my life.
Just wanted to share my story. It's been a hard road but so worth it
