  1. I recently posted about this same topic in another area...I was sleeved on 10/8 at 260lbs I hit about 176 in feb and then just stopped losing! ugh it was so frustrating! I spoke with my doctor and his response was that my body simply had to catch up, that I had lost a lot fast with no prior stalls. He said most people stall around 200lbs and that is normal. Also to give you hope I started paying attention to what I was eating a little more closely...eliminating the carbs I had been munching on and returned to my running routine and today I am 167! so stalling is all part of this journey! Hope my experience has helped and good luck you are all doing amazing!

HELP! 6 weeks and NO LOSS!

Thanks for the replies...its is comforting to know that I am not the only one and this may just be another area of these unchartered waters for me. I am making some additional changes to get myself back on track... like paying close attention to my restriction and also eating SLOWLY...geez that is still my biggest struggle...I am taking all your advice! thanks again
  3. Okay so I was sleeved on 10/8/12...and up until Feb I was losing. I am at a total loss of 85lbs which is amazing but I havent lost anything in about 6 weeks...is this normal? Anyone else have a stall this long? any ways to kick start the losing again? Thanks!

    acid

I am at 3 mos post op and the acid is just STARTING to get a little more tolerable. I am taking 150mg of zantac twice a day. My PA had me try omeprazole in the morning 30 mins before I eat but that did nothing...It was horrible so I know how you are feeling...trust that it does get a little better,,,not sure if it will ever go away though. but try the zantac that seems to be the only thing that can even touch my reflux.
  6. Sleeved on 10/8 Day of surgery Weight 255 Weight today 195 Total loss: 60lbs Really struggling with not drinking and eating and eating slowly still! Also getting my B12 in but struggling with the multi vits...any suggestions? Dealing with serious reflux also that my delusional surgeon keeps giving me OTC meds that arent working! What is everyone eating?

    Newbie Needing Some Advice...

Post Op diet is 2 weeks clear liquids + Proteins, week 3 full liquids...thats all she gave me because she wants another $200 from me for the rest of the diet which I find is absurd so I have just been doing my research and figure week 4 should be pureed foods, then soft and finally normal. I am just having do many doubts...wondering why I didnt just lose weight "normally" and why did I do this... hope I get out of this funk soon!

    So Regretful......

OMG I am so glad I am not the only one who feels this way! I am 11 days out and very regretful...just taking it one day and demon at a time.
  9. HI...I have been viewing this forum for some time now and have finally decided to post :-) I was sleeved on Oct 8th, so I am 11 days out and down 25lbs! However I am having a lot more trouble with the post op diet than I ever anticipated and was hoping for some advice and support today. My pre-op diet was normal healthy low fat foods...but for the last 2 weeks Ive been on clear liquids + protein shakes. and OMG I want to eat something already!!! I am having so much trouble getting even a portion of the protein shakes in as well. So last night I caved and had 3 tiny bites of a meatball...not my proudest moment! I really hope I didnt screw anything up! It went down fine and stayed down. Any advice or support is welcomed Thanks....
