    losing too quick?

It's normal right after surgery because the first month you will lose the most. When I went for my two weeks ck up I had lose twelve. The dr said most lost twenty in the first month. Enjoy, because there will be stalls! Congrats! On joining the losers bench!

    Honest opinion...how does this look?

In my honest opinion, the style of the dress is cute on you. But for me I hate stripes so no, I wouldn't wear it. If you like it, rock those stripes!

    just wondering

It all depends on you. Everyone heals differently. I agree, if you do coach make sure you is not in the sun and have a bottle of water or protein drink with you. Personally for me five days out I was still feeling bad. I didn't drive until seven days out. Good luck and take care.

    They are falling!

Wow, that's awesome, it is a good feeling when the clothes start getting loose. It's only been a couple months that I bought size 16 summer clothes, now I wear 12. Shopping is so much fun now. Yes, I too have to pull out the winter coats and give away, size 2x.
  5. Let your surgeon know and they will prescribe you nausea meds. I take ondansetron, dissolve under the tongue. I am 7 months out and still get nausea at times so for me no, it did not pass. Minds is due to acid reflex. I hope this helps!
  6. Walk, walk, walk!! I hope you feel better. Walking help relieve my gas. How far out are you. I am six mts out. It took several wks for me. Chewing gum and drinking with straws causes gas especially in the first few mts. Walk after each meal and try to avoid foods that causes excess gas.

    3 weeks out

Awesome, love reading your post! Lol at 14 being too skinny. I am a 14 now and everybody keep calling be skinny. Haven't heard that in ten years. Loving my sleeve. I want to wear size ten again. I am six mts out, if I don't lose more, I am happy where I am at. I went from size twenty two to 14 WooHoo.

Weird burning pain 9 months out...

I would advise you to see the surgeon that did your surgery. When I became sick, at three mts out couldn't keep nothing down, pain on right side. Hostipal ran various tests and found nothing. I notified surgeon and had another upper GI done to ensure sleeve was ok. They had to rue stretch it a little. Too narrow. I pray they find out what's going on with you. Keep us posted!

    Anyone try these?

I hated them. It does have a lot of protein but the taste was terrible. I mixed it in with unsweetened jello to get down the protein.

    All of my December sleevers...

Hello Dec sleepers. My surgery was on Dec 3rd. Was weighing 226 and 209 day of surgery. My six mt ck up I was at 166.7. I only weigh myself once a month. Everyone is doing a great job. Loving my sleeve!
  11. At my six month check up a few weeks ago, I ask my surgeon could the weight come back. His answer was yes! He said that its important to practice healthy eating habits now. Because after five years if we fall back into unhealthy eating habits that we could gain over half of the weight back. He also said remember more is less. To not skip meals because that would cause a stall to eat something every two hours even if its a stick of cheese. I found out it works, when I eat more often, small portions because that's all I can tolerate that I do lose.

    All food is gross!

Yes, it will pass. Sometimes even now at six months out I just prefer soup or a protein shake. My doc say even if I just drink protein shakes I will be fine. Protein is very important to keep other vital organs function properly too.

I totally feel you on this. I am 5'6 presently weighting 166 and get lots of compliments but I DON'T SEE what others see. I still feel and look fat. I am six mts out. I too thought losing this weight would make me happy but it has not. Tired so darn tired all the time. Doctor said lab work was good.

    All of my December sleevers...

My surgeon told me to stay away from pasta and bread it will swell up in me and cause me to throw it up, since sleeve so narrow. Not good for me anyway. I do miss eating subs, oh well, I ate enough over the years so its all good.

    Sleeved June 11th

Congrats on your surgery! Now you are on the losers bench. I hope all continues to go well. Don't feel quilts about your success. It's normal to feel nervous with any type of major surgery. It's a life changing event. My doctor had be crush my pills but my blood pressure pill was so small I just chewed it up. Within a month I was taking off of it. I was only borderline due to weight. Hopefully soon you will be off some or all your meds once the weight decrease. Best of luck and remover to chew slowly and sip as much liquid and Protein as you can.

    53 hours :)

Sip sip sip. Be sure to get your fluids in and follow the guide line your surgeon recommends. I am 6 months out and loving my sleeve. It wasn't easy, I had a few sit backs because my sleeve was too tight throwing up but another upper GI was done and my sleeve was stretched and its so much better now. However, I lost weight, feel better and if I had to do it over again I would. It is worth giving up food that was not good for me anyways, especially sodas. I can't believe that I don't even crave sodas thank God!

    All of my December sleevers...

hello, I started off 226 lbs, presently I weigh 166. How about you?
  20. Hang in there!! Its normal as others already posted. I am four months out and I am so happy. In the beginning I was sad because I was like, now what am I suppose to do for fun now. Going out to eat with friends and buffet with family, is no fun for me. However, I avoid buffet now its a waste of my hard earned money because I can only eat a little now. Once your pounds start or inches come off and you get near your goal you will cheer up. In the beginning I had problems with swallowing and keeping my food down. they did another ERD by inserting the light down my throat and stretching my sleeve a little. I weighted 226 now I am 169!!! Continue to follow your dr's advice and you will be fine. If you continue to feel down call your therapist that you saw before surgery. I have found this forum and talking to others that have went through this surgery a great help. Also the positive comments about my weight loss is encouraging too. Life gets better, you just wait and see!!!

    Gallbladder Disease

Thank uou all for sharing your experiences with gallbladder attacks. I have been nausea and throwing up for several wks. Last night I had severe pain in chest, right side lower back. I have no stones but dr says gallbladder appears to not be function. They also did a nuclear medicine test to get closer look at. Gallbladder. So hopefully tomorrow I can find out whether the gallbladder will be coming out. I am three mts post op. I asked dr to take it out then but he said its onlyyy thirty percent chance. Ewwwwww.

    CRAYZ MOTHER!

Sorry you are going through this. Before the week is over you will be able to care for yourself hopefully!!My husband took two weeks off to help me. By day 3 I was ready for him to go back to work lol! Mom sounds like she is trying to encourage you to heal faster by moving around and doing for yourself. Maybe an extra day in hostipal would have helped. Unless you is having medical issues there should be no need for another caregiver. Everyone heals differently. Hopefully you will have speedy recovery and can go home soon to finish recovering. My prayer, is that I will never have to depend on others and be healthy because no one take care of me like me!!!! I pray your mom will be kinder and more compassion, when you not feeling well the last thing you need is someone yelling at you! Good luck and be encouraged!
