slimagainsoon replied to Vsglady's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hey, I had my hernia repaired during surgery. I had a few complications the first four months couldn't keep nothing down. I don't think it had anything to do with the hernia. Don't worry all will be okay. Congrats on getting your sleeve soon and joining the losers bench! Woo hoo! -
Truth! What's the pain really like?
slimagainsoon replied to sheavens's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I got my sleeve Dec 3, 2012. Wow time flies. Yes there is pain but if you have children, it's like that. It hurt but it's so worth it. Everyone pain tolerance is different. Some feel little some feel a lot, some feel none. So don't worry, before you know it you will be on your road to recovery and focusing on menus and shopping lol. I started out 226 @ 5'6. Now I am 150. Soooo happy. Wishing you the best and remember its a tool we still need to eat healthy and exercise. I don't exercise much. I walk is basically my exercise. Everyone is different. Welcome to the losers bench! -

slimagainsoon replied to DeeSleeve13's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
it consist of being put to sleep, about five minutes then putting a light down my throat to look inside my tummy to see how my sleeve was healing. He inset rated an instrument to stretch my sleeve just a little, I told him not much lol, cause I didn't want room to overeat, but wide enough to keep me from throwing up. My sleeve was staple too tight! -
Happy Birthday! Enjoy that slice of cake and ice cream too. Then dance it off lol!

Nausea w/ weakness and pain, is this normal 6 weeks post op?
slimagainsoon replied to supbanana's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try to stand or sit when you are eating. You said you were lying flat on your tummy! Your tummy is smaller now and needs room to digest. Are you throwing up! I am nine mts out and in the first four months I experience some of your symptoms but throwing up daily. I had to have another upper GI and they had to go in and stretch my sleeve cause it was too narrow. Be sure to eat slowly and don't eat and drink at the same time. I pray you can get some type of insurance because you suppose to follow up with your surgeon the next five years. If it's concerning your sleeve the ER doctor most likely will refer you back to your surgeon. I pray everything will turn out good. Keep us posted! -

PLEASE HELP! Serious Advice Needed!
slimagainsoon replied to k95's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello, I was the same way, I am nine months out. My surgeon said that to eat every two hours. He said more is less. Eat six small meals and get your fluids in. It works! You are doing fine and be sure to walk or some form of exercise several times a week. No worries the weight will come off! At times you will have a stall. Try not to weight daily. Maybe once a week? Yes, the hungry pains will come back and sometimes ai may drink Water or a Protein drink if I am not hungry!
