September Was Your Progress?
Kix03 replied to jentheyo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Surgery date 9/20/12 Start weight 234 Current weight 145 Confession time.....Not sure when the weight loss is going to stop, no goal set.. Kinda think I've gone into another type of eating disorder... Have been bad about taking vitamins and protein. I have been living off cheese, yogurt, meats and some veggies in small quantities. Can't handle carbs still. Not really exercising. I need to go back to my support group. Who else is feeling like they are not being as good as they should be? Sometimes reaching the numbers others desire, does not come with all the joys one would think...Doing this completely wrong. Kinda happy I was able to write this down, Even though I really want to delete this post before hitting send -
September Was Your Progress?

Starting BMI 47 now 27. weight was 234 day of surgery 9/20/2012 today 157. I was on a two month stall. Came out if it by having soups for lunch ( no noddles). I don't eat carbs, my new stomach rejects them. Lots of vitamins, cheese. Proteins and veggies. I each small meals whenever I am hungry. I just make sure to make good choices. I have a friend who introduced me to a food dehydrator, I highly recommend investing in one. This helps us take good quaility protein on the go everywhere. Not to mention homemade dried Bananas are amazing! I eat a lot of yogurt. I wish I liked Greek yogurt but I hate the stuff! I highly recommend Muiller brand yogurt. Corners and fruit ups are amazing! I attached a before and after face picture. 77 pounds down. I need to be brave to post body pics lol -
Relationship issues after surgery?
Kix03 replied to Dreamingofhealth's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was dumped one month after surgery. It was really my fault, because I did not know how to discuss the surgery with my fiancé. I just jumped into it and it ended with a lot of resentment. At first I tried to justify my actions because my fiancé does not suffer with weight issues.. I felt he wouldn't understand. Now looking back I realize I was totally wrong. As a couple I should have been able to take his feeling into consideration. We split up and I moved out of our house for three months. Now we are finally working it out. If its meant to be you will both find a way to work it out. We are seeking therapy now through Kabbalah. After surgery I realized I needed something more spiritual in my life. Good Luck to everyone on this journey. I am six month out now and happier than ever -

Hair loss/thinning
Kix03 replied to chocolate_macchiato's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too have been loosing hand full of hair. I have been drinking the protein shakes and eating as much protein as my body can take. I also have been more than excellent with the vitamins. I think it's just our body reacting to the weight loss shock and malnutrition since we cant really eat. I know I personally take 3-4 bites of a lean cuisine and I am done. -

In Tears..overly Fearful..
Kix03 replied to steelergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved 9/21. No regrets and will do it again. 7 weeks today and 34 down. It's so easy. I don't even miss food. When I try to cook something the aroma turns me off. Eating will never be the same but that's the point. The surgery was not painful at all like Jorge said just soreness. I stopped taking all pain meds in 24 hours. I was more so taking them from Nausea but soon realized it gave me more of that then less lol. Congradulations and welcome to the beginning of the rest of your healthy and active life -

When can we start? Is liquid gels or pills okay? Does anyone have a brand they could recommend?

I am three weeks out and noticing I only having a bowl movement (extreme runs) once a week. Has this happened to anyone else? What should our bowl movements be weekly? Should I add a supplement? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

My day consists of One slice of boars head deli chicken with a slice of baby swiss cheese rolled in the middle. I nuke it in the microwave for 20 seconds.. That's Breakfast.. Between Breakfast and lunch I have a Protein powder shake mixed with 1 percent milk. Lunch time I have a small strawberry wild shake with added whey powder from Jamba juice... For dinner I have chicken or beef broth. -------- Today I ventures away from my broth dinner and tried three bites of grilled chicken with goat cheese.. PAINFUL felt like contractions in a snake like moveme. what's everyone else eating? I take a protonix and gummy Vitamins every morning. My Water intake is kinda low. I try and try but It almost hurts.... or maybe it's me self sabatoging. I have always had a low water intake. I think I am a bit twisted and like feeling dehydrated. I have hit the three week stall no weight loss. please let me know what you guys are eating so I can have more ideas
