7 year wait in BC. Your bmi has to be over 40 too and have 2 co morbidities. Mine was 35, and I couldn't wait that long. I went to TJ in october, best thing I ever did.

I went to Dr. Kelly (oct 26.12). Highly recommend him. It was an overall positive experience. I went through Omar too (who is a sweetheart). I felt safe and i was impressed with the care and overall experience. I was back at work day 5 after surgery and have lost 27 pounds in 20 days. I had no complications and minimal pain, but if I did it again, I would refuse nausea drugs (they made it worse), I did have nausea for 12 hours, but after that felt great. I wish I had done this a long time ago. No drain (depends on how surgery goes) and I was expecting one as I have had lots of previous surgeries and earlier cancer, so I had a less than straightforward case. After my surgery were a 70 and 77 year old pair from Texas , much higher bmi than me, and they breezed through surgery. My bmi was 35.

Height, Weight, And Size Poll

I had surgery with dr. Kelly last Friday. Fantastic experience with him and his team. I'm just home now and feeling pretty good. I would do it again. I asked dr. Kelly about the death (pulmonary embolism). This is a risk with any surgery. There is alot of rivalry with companies down there and a website using his name (to which he is not affiliated) is still in operation. (www.ramoskelly.com). His pic is on there but when patients call, they are redirected to other doctors. In any event, what matters is his skillset. While my bmi was relatively low, I had had tonnes of abdominal and chest surgeries after a duel with cancer a few years back. I was very worried about adhesions and ending up with complications. Apart from terrible nausea for 12 hours (mostly because I react badly to anaesthesia ) I feel close to normal now. The whole 5 days I was there I was looked after well and everything was thought of. No complaints. There are a few other very decent surgeons down there. I can only speak from my experience though.

Mine are all thin and recovering well. My bmi was 36, just weighed in and lost 13 pounds since surgery (Friday) . Am incredibly happy. I'm also tall, (5'11) but carry most of my weight on my arms, Belly and back. Kind of tank like Isn't is fantastic to be done ? I'm excited for the next chapter. Back to work tomorrow though , this is less exciting .. -

Wow. I had a completely different experience with dr. Kelly and Omar. Omar drove me to tonnes of places to sightsee , shop and have broth. It was organized and seriously a good experience. The first 12 hours post surgery sucked, I was sick (but no pain). 4 days out and I feel nearly normal (minus an appetite or the ability to eat solid food). I would highly recomend dr. Kelly and his team. -

I'm now day 3 post sleeve (dr. Kelly). First 12 hours were hell, puking and dry heaving every 10 minutes. Day 2 and today I feel great. No hunger, no pain and just chilling in the hotel. Let the weight loss begin ! -

Zenoosh - I think I'm staying at the hotel lucerna. Didn't ask, but all of dr. Kelly's patients seem to stay there ? I booked for may this year but got talked out of it, tried many other diets in between and lost and gained back 40 pounds since then. I'm so done with this yoyo ! Now I have my flights bought and time booked off work. It's going to happen! -
