Anyone have blood clots?.if so how long did it take fir them to develop. I am getting 14 days of blood thinners because I have factor 5 Leiden..which is a blood mutation where your blood can clot easier.

Yeah..it was hard to find..I got one called gold vapor. And they have nicotene free ones..even flavors like peach and vanilla..I don't even inhale it..because I don't know if water vapor is even healthy..but it works when I'm anxious..you could go online and probably order them..it worked for me ..and I haven't even used it for a couple weeks it got me through the hard times..good luck!

I quit close to 2 months ago..and I smoked for 15 Years..I had the same issue..just the mechanical part..had to have something in my hands..I started outa with.and nicotene free electronic cigertette. Just. For those times when I was most used to smoking..like after eating or driving long distance or ina social setting. I had it handy for those times ...and now I don't ever really use it at all.

I have the disorder ..its called factor 5 Leiden. I told my surgeon and they are giving me 2 weeks of blood thinners to take home..and a shot in the hospital. I am so nervous about this. I have never had a clot but my dad died from a clot and my sister got one almost killed her too. I was wondering...did you doctor give you a blood thinner at the hospital before you left and you still got clots? Did you do a lot of walking right away or was it from mobility?.any info you have will be helpful because this is my biggest fear.. I wish you knew about your disorder ahead of time..it should be one of the tests before surgery in my opinion because most people don't know they have it until after a clot.

When you had a blood clot..how long after the surgery did you develop it..

What kind of complications?..are you a nurse or something?..I am trying to get as educated as I can

My date is November 7th. I just got it final today. I am 330 and bigger than I ever have been..I hope I drop fast..I'm so unhappy at this weight..I've always been big and it never bothered me too much..but at this weight I feel it everyday and don't feel comfortable..I am so exited to he exited about getting ready again .and getting dressed up!..I've been working on my masters degree for so long I lost sight of taking care of my physical self..I'm ready now!!..November 7th here we come..!!!!I am super nervous..I never had anethetia before..but I did have a c-section don't know if it is the same..!!

I bet it was deeper than just drive king beer with homies..certain fears and comfort zones..I think you have to be able to embrace change and be aware of your motivations and downfalls and crutches..I'm ready..I'm so over this..ive always felt beasutiful..but In ready to healthy and stop lying to myself. ..its not okay anymore. That Guy has to get to that point

Bottom line..if this is what she thinks she needs to be happy..its her choice. But I don't think you'll find it loosing 35 pounds..its probably something on the inside that hurts. You don't have to be perfect sweety..its too much of a burden in our lives body and spirit..

They said at first it wasn't needed and now they requested it..I was all cleared and ready to go no they wanna change it..I only have two months documented mediacl records having to do with weight..any one know any tricks with the insurance

OK..I'm 300 pounds ..no one gets like that in 6 months..LOL. I wrote down and it is the truth..I'm not trying to over dramatasize this either LOL..thanks for pointers everyone

I'm not sure what all of you are talking about..I was just looking for tricks in getting them to do it ..or easier ways..I'm not looking to lie. You know tips for what works..no one said anything about insurance fraud..wow

I have only one week off for surgery. I don't want more than that off. I have a counseling job. I just have clients and computer paperwork and the girls at work said they would help me if I am feeling tired or bad. What do you guys think?

Did your surgeon sufest you do that in place of the documentation. By a doctor and it worked?..or did they say up front that would work..because I will totally do that ..I have three months to show but not 6 .can you explain what they told you so I can tell my person that is handling the insurance..thanks

Good luck..!!you will be fine!..I'm sorry for that embarrassing moment..mine was getting on a plane and the seat belt not fitting and not being able to pull the tray down all the way in front of me. I made a joke of it like normal..but it really does suck..my surgery is Nov.7im freaking too..but I hit my knees and prayed this morning..I have to remember that I have to have faith..you'll be OK! OK ...I am tripping on my doctor and don't know if it just in my head because I am getting nervous...he said I will be up and around in a couple days and said I could work after no time..and he said it takes him only about an hour for the actaul surgery..he talked me out of the lap band and said sleeve is the way to go(which I believe it is)..and only requested a note from primary ..cardio clearance and some labs..I have a blood clotting Disorder ..where my blood has the gene to clot easily though I have never got a blood clot..I still have the gene..and he didn't ask anything about it and just said that he gives blood thinners after surgery..did anyone else get blood thinners? I also didn't have to loose any weight ..I'm 340 pounds only the pre-op diet..I'm feeling he doesn't care about me..or just wants money..am I crazy? Or is this normal?

If any one believes in God..I think prayer is key..I'm gonna go hit my knees and pray right now..because I've been feeling out myself and I forgot that God leads me..sometimes I forget that everything is gonna be okay as long as I have faith ..silly me..I'm gonna give it to God..and stop stressing;)

I am really confused..I have told everyone..and seems like I can't wait to tell people I know..its almost like a statement ..I'm exited and have no shame..I have over come so much in my life and I help people change everyday..I never thought once that people judged me and thought anything bad..until I read this ..LOL..maybe they are...who knows..I don't care..no one walked in my shoes ..I have a great heart and a great spirit and a love for people..I never cared who judged me because if you can't appreciate me for me ..I never internalized that as a reflection of who I am..just a reflection of what issue the other person may have. I never been ashamed big..and I'm damn sure not gonna be ashamed to take the step to be fit!..its not one life but yours..its your world girl..they are either in it or their not..but your chapter is still yours to write and the ending is up to you..but be proud of your choices..even if you fail ..its your book and so what is your plot was trials and failures..it doesn't change who you are as long as you stay true to you

I just get like this with people..he has a great background..Ive been eating poorly at night preparing..I haven't started 2 week diet yet but tryed to start early and at night after work..I eat badly as I get stressed. I just think I over think it..but this couldn't be worst than a hysterectomy ..could it? It a c section..youbthink it more dangerous?

One month away from surgery and am looking for things I should be doing now to prepare..I started the shakes twice a day and then started over eating because I knew the day was coming that I was going to start the two week diet..I wanted to start dieting a month before ..and will be starting tommorow ..my surgeon only required two weeks of the pre diet..but I wanted to start now..I don't drink water and have staarted drinking a lot of water so I don't go into it dehydrated..any other tips ..I can do now so I am ready..?..I didn't have to do a 6month diet or loose any weight first..it only took me 2 months with my insurance so I'm just wondering..thanks for any tips or advice

How many days would you guys reccomend staying in the hospital?.will I have an option?
