Wow!!!so helpful ..thanks for info..my surgery is in one week!

And I'm right after you guys on the 7th!!!we should all be buudys and help one another!

I have git mix matched advice about pre op diet ...I called and got different answers from docs office..I'm doing low Carb 700 calorie meals..I lost 10 pounds..one week to go..just feeling like I'm not shrinking my liver..I have been eating more food vs. Shakes but staying at right amount of calories ..I know my liver is big ..I'm sooo scared of having this surgery..I feel like I'm obsessing with questions and worries..did anyone else feel the same...9 days till surgery and I'm freaking out..all the input is helpful..because I am a spazzzz right now.

I'm trying to get an idea of what is normal..I would be doing this with any surgeon..

I think it is the life changing surgery and I can trust him now that I am starting to see some of his.practices are the norm.

I think it is because I've never had surgery and its the unknown...and I have looked up the risks..its worth it for me and I'm ready to take the step just trying to find out if these things are normal..if its my fear in my head or something to really worry about

LOL..I guess I have doubts..but would with anyone..he is experienced..but there are several things that are sooo different I feel he cutting corners or something.. 1. He does it outpatient..I had to request to stay over night at hospital 2. I have fatty liver and he was sooo nonchalant about that.. 3.no CT scan..I had to request that too. 4 no endoscopy. 5 preop appointment one week before surgery.. I don't know if I'm just freaking..he has a great record..lots of experience but all that sounds like he is not thourough...idk..what do you guys think..I am a paranoid type person when it comes to health stuff..I've never had any surgery in my life..LOL..just a c section ..thanks for all input! !

What was your bmi?..and did they say why you didn't have one??

Unless she lives with you..she has no idea what you have time fir..she is not the psychiatrist or a doctor..a nutritionist has low education and. She over compensating...some people talk down to big people and we can't make our points in the process..be confident in your decision..say " I don't believe you could possibly know what I have time for and what I don't have time fir is negativity ..and I am having this surgery regaurdless of what you think. Your job plain and simple is to help me learn nutrition..NOT PRETEND TO BE A DOCTOR!!!

My surgeon didn't require a endoscopy..and I asked for the CT scan..is this weird for him to not ask for these things..I told him I have a fatty liver he said this is normal ..what was everyone else's requirements? ??

What was your pre op diet

Is it all liquid..?..what have you been eating? I feel mine should be more restricted..because I wasn't given spefics..only 2 shakes and lean protuen ..what were you told?

I have a clotting mutation where my blood clots more than normal..and my bmi is over 50...I am only getting shots..I asked my blood doctor about a filter and he said no...your doctor wants youbto have a filter??...I think ibshould have one too..it this among other things makes me think my doctor doesn't take precautions ..he also said I can go home same day..wth

Oh and added raw onions and cilantro on top..

200 calories..tilapia and Collard greens...limes ..onions ..cilantro and spice..yummy!.. 3 carbs 0 fat 25 gram of.protien!! [ATTACH]5858[/ATTACH]

2 cups of frozen Collard greens 1 large plank of tilapia 1 lime 1/8 of a onion.. Dash cilantro Dash of green onion Bioled greens set aside with lemon pepper Grilled tilapia with no stick cooking spray. Spices - lemon pepper and zattarans blackened fish seasoning and chilli powder. Garlic.. Laid down greens and put fish on top. Took my lime and squirted it over all of it....super healthy!!! And yummy!!

What is one thing you wish you were told before surgery?. ..anything..like something that happened..something you should have brought with you or asked before hand..or some thing your experiencing now you didn't expect..

I don't get too much answers on a lot of my questions..I'm not special or anything..but need help!!..I need a vote..here's the question .. 1) I only have a week off of work..will I be OK?..I have an office job. How did you feel after 1 week? 2). Stay the night at the hospital or go home? What are your votes ..please help!!

I have been loving tilapia...and shrimp..and imitation Crab meat..I also have been using my egg beaters like crazy each time with different vegitables in it..yummm..with raw spinach..onion and tomatoes..cilantro and green onion ..soo good

Barrium drink before my CT scan ..if horrible and I cannot drink..I've been staring at it for 20 min..on pre open diet and its upsetting my tummy!!!!!!!yuck!
