I Dont Hear Much About Dr. Almanza Anymore........
Nicolanz replied to Diamondeyed's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
My point is getting lost here. I just want people to have the correct information. I'm only talking about the amount of surgeries a day. Every thing else is true, he works out of a well equipped clean clinic, low to high bmi, it's in a shopping center, you stay in a hotel. I'm not swaying anyone's decision. I'm not saying anything bad about other surgeons. I don't have a "my surgeon is better than yours" attitude. If several people who HAVE BEEN to Almanza are saying it's not true, why claim what you are saying is fact when you've never been? -

Simple. Not telling the truth. Just because someone else started the lie does not mean you are not lying by repeating the lie. Seriously? I don't mean to be rude but I heard things about another Mexican doctor that I am not sure is true. I wouldn't go around telling people he stole someone's money. I didn't experience it and it's that person's story to tell not mine. How are you going to argue "facts" when you have no Idea and people who have actually been are telling you otherwise? This probably rooted from an exaggeration. -

Stating that Almanza does 10-12 patients a day is not an opinion. And I have talked to his older patients who are my friends. Friends I grew up with and hang out with. Not off of internet forums. They went to him last year and I went in November. So I think it's safe to say in the past year, he does no more than 8 surgeries a day. I understand that you feel more safe in a hospital. That's an opinion. -
I'm not sure of the correct answer, but I started at six weeks and was fine.

There's so much false information attained from hearsay about Almanza on here. Almanza only has 8 hospital beds. Unless you physically saw a patient sleeping on the floor, it isn't fair to say he does 10-12 a day. You don't go to the hotel until the second day. -

I love all of those shows too! Man vs food makes me want to vomit though! I still have a passion for food, just a healthier one. -
I leave the house. Go shopping for a couple of hours, think about why I'm angry, and come home feeling much better.

Nicolanz replied to Carly4HandinSD's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My skin is transparent, so I've always bruised easy! -
If anyone finds a way, let me know! I get a text and an email. So annoying!

Gained a pound... Oh No!
Nicolanz replied to sexysleever's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your weight fluctuates throughout the day. One pound is nothing! -
I wouldn't exactly call someone a liar for not disclosing their medical history. Omitting information from you mother when you were a child is completely different.

I did 7 weeks after my csection! You should be fine 3 months out. -
There's only so many different ways you can say the exact same thing! We get it! No one said continue to eat lasagna. What's done is done. She survived so now we look to the future! I wish I didn't get notifications on my phone lol!

I'll always be bigger than my husband's skinny ass! He's like 150 pounds!

I really want some sauteed spinach! I'm six weeks out. No nutritionist and had surgery in Mexico. When is it safe to eat cooked greens like kale and spinach? Also, I really want a fish or shrimp taco! What about corn tortillas? (I'm making my grocery list haha). I really don't want to eat low carb. It's never been successful for me and I don't feel good or normal without carbs. When did everyone start adding carbs back into your diet? I know white flour, rice, Pasta is no bueno. I started the habit of eating whole grains before surgery.
-
And I'll eat my taco without tortilla. Shrimp diced tomatoes and ava ado with cilantro, cumin and smoked paprika Greek yogurt with lime sounds yummy!
-
4 months?!? Wahhh! Before surgery I ate spinach daily. Thanks for the replies. I'll look for other veggies.
-
I never drink without a straw. I did drink straight from a cup one day and it was uncomfortable for me.

Reactive vs Proactive Thinking, Action & Responses
Nicolanz replied to delta_girl's topic in Rants & Raves
It's kind of hard to misconstrue a tone when you're being called an idiot or ignorant just because you disagree. It's rude in any tone. -
For me personally, there is a right way and a wrong way of speaking to other individuals. One is effective and one is not. If someone is rude, acts like they are better than me, or talks to me like an idiot, I don't respond. I don't know about you, but that's just me. "Sugar coating" has nothing to do with it. All you have to say is, if you do this, this may happen. When you say, "I can't believe you would do such a thing. How ridiculous! You should know better! You aren't ready for this surgery, get counseling because your insides are going to explode! that form of communication is ineffective and the person you are talking to is going to shut down. How does this help? It doesn't. That's all I'm going to contribute to this thread from here on out.

You are obviously more worried about getting your point across than being supportive. You made your point, we get it, no need to carry on. Your just being argumentative and that's when people stop listening to you. No ignorance on my part. Nice try though.
