regreting this whole thing
Nicolanz replied to ********'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's weird how our bodies lose weight. I'm losing mostly in my lower half. I've always been proportionate but now my biggest fear is happening. Skinny legs with a big belly :/ I still have 50 pounds to lose and I'm starting my workout again today. I'm staying positive that my top half will catch up! I'd rathdr have no curves than what I'm becoming haha! I'm going to do Jillian Michaels workouts too. They are great at shaping the whole body. I've ordered some on Amazon for 10 bucks and a couple at Walmart for 10 too. -

Nicolanz replied to Fiddleman's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
Great job, Fiddle!!!! As you all know I haven't been able to work out the past two weeks! So I have to start all over I'm cleared to start today! I started at 220 and today I'm 210! So close to being under 200 and being an overweight BMI instead of obese ( I'm 5'9)! Woohoo! I'm going on vacation Monday but it's a hiking and climbing rock formations vacation! I'm so excited. We go every year but this year will be so different. I'm excited to see how far I've come physically. I will report back! -

30 pounds in 5 weeks is great! So, you haven't lost anything in 2 weeks .....girl I've gone over a month with no weight loss! It's part of the process. I go to the thrift store and buy jeans sometimes with the tags still on them for 10 bucks and shirts for 4. You're only a month out, give it time. -

BMI of 39 - anyone have to gain weight for the insurance to cover
Nicolanz replied to wasabi's topic in Insurance & Financing
At least you're able to gain weight to be approved. With my insurance you bave to be over 40 BMI for 5 years! -
Surgery weight was 296 and today I'm 210. Down 86 pounds! I was hoping to be at goal by my 30th birthday in September but I don't think I'll lose 50 pounds in 3 months! So my new gaol is to be 180-185. Hell, I'll be happy with just being under 200! Congratulations to everyone for you incredible success!

Sending baby vibes your way! I really hope you find happiness and peace no matter what the outcome is.

Ok, so I needed new jeans because I had two pairs of 16s. One was too baggy in the thighs and the other too tight on the butt. I picked up a pair of 16 capris and just for fun a pair of 14s. I looked at those 14s and thought no way they'd even come over my thighs! Well they did! Then thought no way I'd be able to button them! I did! I left with a size 14 capri. I've gone from a tight 22 to a 14 in 7 1/2 months. I remember being a 16 in junior high don't remember ever being a 14! Why don't I see myself so much smaller than I've ever been?!? Just one and a half more points and I will no longer be at an obese BMI. I started at 44!

Nicolanz replied to Nicolanz's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Oh man, I'm ecstatic about my loss. Shopping is actually fun, I can run up the stairs without gasping for air, I take up leass space, I'm not sweating 24/7, I can get up from the floor like nothing .....I just want to see myself smaller!!! LOL -
Its been a very long time! (NSV)

It's madness! My brother has lost over 100 pounds and he says he still sees himself as he did at 300+. He's 6'5 and like 215 now. Before I lost weight, I was like how is that even possible?!?! Now I get it. Another weird NSV, I was leaning up against a wall and it felt like I was leaning on a light switch or something. It was my shoulder blade! Haha!!! -
What a moron! Good for you for loving yourself enough to not take that crap!

My mother-in-law gave us a box of photos to look at. There were some of me 6 years ago....before kids....I couldn't believe I looked like that! I never saw myself that big either. -
Gone from size 24 to 16 and no one seems to notice? What about you?
Nicolanz replied to Johanna1955's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Good point! I have a client who lost a lot of weight due to illness. When I saw her, I was so excited and told her how great she looked! When she explained how she lost weight it was uncomfortable and I felt bad. -
Period is worse post op :( this sucks
Nicolanz replied to mariamitani's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine to but I'm not sure what's causing it. I had a csection in September, wls in November and an IUD put in in January! I PMS for a full week before my period. I'm 8 months out on July 3rd and my actual period is finally getting normal, it's just the PMSing that's horrible - cramping, hunger, cranky and exhausted! -
I take a probiotic everyday. Keeps me regular.

How much weight have you lost so far? I don't even know how to calculate a stall because I've never consistently lost weight every day. It seems like I stay the same for a few weeks then bam down 5 pounds over night. I'm almost 8 months out and down 85 pounds. What's helped me is I just don't stress. For the most part I eat clean with a few treats every now and then. I exercise 5-6 days a week except for the past week and a half because I had my gallbladder removed. I don't care about the number on the scale. Really, I don't! I feel amazing and I'm living normal. My goal is to be healthy and that's what I'm focusing on. Not scale numbers or calorie counting and all has been smooth sailing for me. Living off of 600-1000 calories, no carbs, sugar or fat forever isn't realistic for me. But cutting out processed food, sodas, and mostly cooking at home is. This is what's working for me. I hope you find what works for you! Good luck! -
Yes! There's a market close by that makes them in the store! I can eat a little less than half a pita with garlic mayo, spring mix, roasted red bell pepper, olives, and feta. So delicious!
