Me too! I can eat more than a man and just keep going. I really don't know what full is! I keep getting this picture in my head of my removed stomach sagging from the surgeon's hands like a slab of pizza dough haha

I Have A Leak In My Gastric Sleeve!
lizv123 replied to MeMeMEEE's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Iggy I won't lie, your story scares the crap out of me but it really made me assess my choice. For the longest time I was far too naive about it. I'm glad you're on here to keep it realistic -

Hubby irks me when I can "hear" what I've read in that sickly sweet fake romance tone. Sometimes I just pass over it without noticing. But I don't think I'd like "wifey"...it's too sing songey for me. I'm all for pet names with each other but sometimes, not always, in a social or public setting its just silly. And my fiancé called me his ol' lady once. ...Once.

This is actually one of the things I'm most excited about. It was 40 degrees last night, I slept with my window open, with 2 sheets. I was burning up. I don't know what it's like to be cold anymore! But my surgery will probably be in November or December, maybe I'll feel cold in February

Scared As Hell Of Excess Skin!
lizv123 replied to diamondkized's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh honey lol. There are people that post right after surgery. Unless there are complications I've read the pain isn't that bad -
I know my surgeon tests before surgery and a couple days before, too. Nicotine stays in your system for a few days or more of you're an occasional smoker, upwards of a month if you smoke regularly. I'm over a week smoke free and my surgery is probably going to be late November/early December. Don't do it again, drink lots of Water, and you should be absolutely fine. Chew gum!

I haven't even received my big OK from insurance yet and I'm very nervous and scared. I think it's normal. I just wanted you to know you're not alone in your fear

Bipass Or Sleeve - Now I’M Confused
lizv123 replied to shastadaisy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's actually been around much longer than 10 years here. I think I read 20-40+. It just wasn't called the sleeve. Just like people say the DS is new... It isn't. Just a different name. -
Haha not really. It's chalky and medicinal but if you mix it properly it's no big deal to get down

Do you add pudding powdered mix, or prepared pudding?

How Long Do You Have To Crush Pills?
lizv123 replied to Strangefruit's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon said they could get stuck, or interfere with the healing process early on. -
I'm not sleeved yet but I wanted to know where to set my nest up when I get home

You should probably talk to your nut and surgeon. I've never seen anyone not able to have sf Jello or broth. Also, pre-op shakes may not contain as much Protein as a shake designed for post op.

Boo. Mind just keeps vibrating.

For leg cramps, try upping your potassium! Maybe toss a few bananna slices in your shake and make sure it's super liquidy? That may help the taste, too. Now I used to have bad charley horses. I was a competitive dancer, in marching band, and loved to hike. I would get severe cramps nightly. Potassium was hard for me, OJ made my reflux worse, and bananas have latex in the peel which I'm super allergic to so I was desperate and looked up every home remedy I could and the silliest one worked. I put a bar of soap at the foot of my bed. Night 1-3 total success. Night 4- I woke up with a charley horse and while stretching it out I saw my bar of soap was kicked to the floor earlier that night. So after that I placed it at the foot of my bed just under the bottom sheet and it works like a charm! I have no clue why or how, but I dont wanna question a good thing. I say give it a try! Good luck and keep me posted!
