Headache is normal but I didn't have the puffy face. I am only 5 weeks out everybody is different , if you are comfortable with something call your doc that what there for.Don't consume your self with the scale it will drive you nuts. I was on it twice a day for 5 days until I told myself once week. Good luck on your journey this is on of the best decisions I ever made , my only regret is I should of done it 5 years ago. Well I finally give up¡!
swampdonkey replied to ploveda1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
2 pounds a week is what my doc said I should be loosing. There is alot of factors what is your BMI? Lower BMI tends to loose slower . Are you drinking entry of water ? Don't give up you came this far stick with it .. -

swampdonkey replied to thriving1726's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on the 20 th and iam down 50 lbs as of yesterday.. Iam feeling great I still have severe back pain and the nerve pain in my leg seemed to get worse. What made you pick VSG instead of DS?
swampdonkey replied to SomethingClever's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had a BMI OF 50% and iam exactly 1 month out and dropped 48 lbs as of today. I went to seminar and it looked to me that the bypass wasn't what I want the sleeve was more straight forward but you can fail at any of the weight loss surgeries if you don't follow the programs. To me the sleeve was a god sent . The best advise I can give is to research your doctor. I personally went to a doctor that the hospital built a gastric surgery program around him. I looked the to WLS CENTERS in my area and was not impressed. I from New Jersey and went to Penn Medicine in PA. They have a geat system and I couldn't be happier with my choice of doctor,Nut and entire staff. -

Still feeling weak after 3 weeks
swampdonkey replied to Sheraton1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Iam feeling great I was sleeved on 3/20, I am actually finishing projects around the house that have been lingering for years. The only thing that is killing is around 2 pm I start crashing hard. I am lucky enough to leave work and come home and take a nap. I am hoping this is happening because Iam not taking any carbs in. I am following my diet to the T. Iam on soft foods by may 1st reg foods. I really hope this changes soon. -
I guess I was lucky my insurance paid for mine , I just got my co pay bill which I was able to negotiate down. I had my surgery thru Penn Medicne which is a great hospital and they handled everything for me. i feel like Lucky after reading this thread. Good luck to all

I have a question . I know rice real value but I do like the taste of it once in a while.Obviously I wouldn't to be able to eat a lot but the question is will it hurt you. Has anyone tried it? What were the results? For the record I have no desire for it at this point in my journey .
