Almost 4 months out results and nsv

Wow!! That's awesome!! You look great!! -
It probably slid down too fast. I've had that side effect before. Try to eat slower when something is soft or puréed.

I don't think it's a good idea either. Your stomach is basically new, like a babies stomach. That's why we start at liquids, the work our way up to solids again....so that our stomach can heal. Alcohol is very strong and has a lot of sugar. You may dump:( I'm sorry that you can't celebrate with alcohol, but just having this surgery is a celebration in itself:)) Happy Birthday!!

No wonder it burned going down! LOL.

Antidepressants & Weight Gain
WingsOfAButterfly replied to Shape_Shifter's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree with Rootman. It makes us not care much about anything. That's why I'm on a low dose of Lexapro. It's just enough to help me. I think also that it calms the entire body down, including the stomach and makes it think it can put more food in. That's just my opinion:) -
Antidepressants & Weight Gain

I don't know which ones cause weight gain, but I'm on Lexapro and haven't gained any weight. In fact, I'm losing pretty fast. -
**confession**
WingsOfAButterfly replied to Eclectic82's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have not cheated since having my surgery on Oct 8th. I am too scared to cheat because I dump and I definitely DO NOT want to feel sick. The reason I know I dump is because I ate too fast once and boy oh boy was that not fun! I was so sick! Just be careful what you eat early on because your stomach is practically new, like a babies stomach, and it's getting used to foods again. That's why we have to follow the protocol. -
I Have A Question About Going To The Bathroom
WingsOfAButterfly posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I hope this is in the right place. If not, please feel free to move it. I have not been doing #2 at all in about 3 days. That's not like me because I go every day. What can I take that is safe for my stomach to be able to go? I'm almost 2 weeks post op. Thanks to whoever replies:)) -
Bubbles And Pain When I Eat
WingsOfAButterfly posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've heard that you feel this when you're full, but I'm feeling this with only one bite of food. I'm Chewing really good....to purée consistency and still it does this most of the time. The only time it isn't bad is when I haven't eaten all day, which I know isn't good, but it happens. I have been having a lot of heartburn lately so I'm wondering if my stomach is inflamed. Anyone else experience this? -
When Can I Comfortably Wear Shapewear?
WingsOfAButterfly replied to OceanSong's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I would love to know this too. I am almost 6 weeks out and just wearing a panty girdle hurts. I couldn't wear it for long and it made my stomach sore again. -
Is it normal to still be nauseated 3 weeks post op? I had nausea bad at the beginning, then it seemed to subside. When I tried to transform to puréed foods, it started back up again, so I went back on liquids but I'm still very nauseated. It's hard getting my protein down. I can barely get anything down. I think I actually had my first dumping syndrome because I drank my protein drink right befit eating. I vommited and was nauseated the entire night and it hasnt stopped. I see my doctor on Wednesday and I'll ask, but wanted to know if anyone else deals with this? I'm on zofran for the nausea and it makes me so sleepy. I've been sleeping way too much.

October Sleevers-How Ya Doin?
WingsOfAButterfly replied to Holly5.3's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my surgery October 8th and it was rough at first. I stayed nauseated for a while and couldnt even hold down liquid lortab for the pain. Thank God my doctor was so good to me and let the nurses give me IV pain meds. I'm much better now. I still get nauseated sometimes, but it's not as bad. I'm down 26 pounds! It feels so good! -

Where Is Everyone From?
WingsOfAButterfly replied to SleeveShelly's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Louisiana:) -
I know we're not supposed to have any cokes, Pepsi, etc., but I found some flavored water with 0 everything but it's carbonated. No caffeine, no calories, no nothing. I am having trouble drinking plain water as it gets me so nauseated and I don't know why. So my question is why can't we have anything carbonated?

Why No Carbonated Drinks?
WingsOfAButterfly replied to WingsOfAButterfly's topic in Food and Nutrition

9 Days After Surgery And No Desire To Eat
WingsOfAButterfly replied to TheGamer's topic in Food and Nutrition
For the people that cannot tolerate regular water, my nutritionist told me to try vitamin water but with zero or low fat to stay hydrated. Haven't found it yet though. She also mentioned trying gator aid too. -
Upper Respiratory Infection... Uggg... Craving Carbs
WingsOfAButterfly replied to Robyn Owens-Miille's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's the steroid injection making you crave carbs. It will pass when it is out of your system. I'd try to stay on liquids mostly and maybe stop the protein drink for a few days. But I'm no doctor, so ask your doctor first. Hope you feel better. -
Still Very Nauseated

Still Very Nauseated
WingsOfAButterfly replied to WingsOfAButterfly's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Davsan, eggs make me nauseous too. I guess because they're so heavy. And Ilove eggs! Oh well. I'm just trying to stay away from anything that's too heavy. I'm starting to feel better now, but all I can manage to get down without nausea are my liquids, mashed potatoes and sugar free pudding. Oh and lite yogurt too. I eat my mashed potatoes with fat free butter and sea salt. -
