atigerinthesky replied to norozco's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes I've done scrambled eggs for stage 2. I can also purée chicken with a teaspoon of fat free gravy and a little water. It was awesome and I tolerated it just fine. -

High Protein "snack" Ideas.... Lets Start A List To Refer To When We Need Ideas
atigerinthesky replied to WLJourneyJ's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Crispy roasted chickpeas. I believe it's 7g of protein per a serving. All you do is bake one can of chickpeas lightly salted or spiced how you like. Pat dry with paper towel and drizzle with a little olive oil. And bake at 400f for about 30-40 mins. Or until they become crunchy. It's awesome!!! I discovered it online a few months ago as an alternative to potato chips!!! It's a great snack! -
I was able to do the Adkins advantage. It tasted a lot better then the other options and they came in already made cartons. I would have 4 a day and during dinner time have a cup of chicken broth. In between I would have sugar free jello. I was also allowed 8oz of skim milk a day. Lo carb yogurt or sugar free protein pudding. It was a lot easier to do then I thought it would be. I had my surgery on 10/02. Good luck!

I'm so glad I came across this chat. I am 4 days out and have been really good until this afternoon.... I started craving sweets!!!! Omg. I was like this can't be happening. so I had a teaspoon of sugar free pudding. It solved my craving. But I've been sitting here since trying to figure out why I had such a strong craving until now. My cycle is starting up again!!!! It all makes sense now! Lol thanks ladies

It will be ok!!! I too just had my surgery on 10/2. And I am going to say it 's normal to cry and be emotional at this point. Because just reading your story is making me cry. Lol! I think it's our way of letting go of all the pent up stress and energy that has been building up pre surgery and the fact that we aren't feeling 110%. I'm going bananas in my house! When I start feeling the frustration coming on I take a short walk outside and it makes me feel better. I've just realized that taking it one day at a time into our new life is easier to deal with then looking at the huge overall future change ahead of us. You'll be fine and if you have to cry just let yourself cry!!!
