I'm due in 12 days... I'm so excited to meet my little man... I have managed to make it through my entire pregnancy without gaining any weight. So ready to lose the last 30 after I have him. I'm 1 year post op and have not been able to really enjoy the weight loss since I got preggo so quickly. It was all for a good reason though... I'm so thankful for everything in my life. This surgery was def life changing in so many ways and I wouldn't change it for anything.

Scared about pregnancy
thereisonly1sara replied to mandynichole's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I'm 30 weeks preggo.... and very surprisingly became pregnant just 5 months post op... this pregnancy has been fabulous! I have not gained a pound since becoming pregnant. I have actually lost a total of 22 lbs since first finding out. My baby is very healthy and right on track.. my ob is not concerned at all. I expect I will gain a few in these last weeks. My appetite has definitely increased... and I have given into some cravings. : ) Good luck to everyone! -

Gestational diabetes test NIGHTMARE!
thereisonly1sara replied to beautifulnewme2012's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Well I went Tuesday for this dreaded test... I really struggled to finish the drink.... thankfully the nurse's husband had a gastric bypass... so she knew exactly my concerns and gave me a little extra time to finish the drink. Well after finishing I was so concerned about the hour wait... I started to feel very miserable 5 minutes in. And It happened... I ran to the bathroom and puked the entire thing back up! It was disgusting.... My obgyn says he may want to try again... but he also did an ultrasound to measure the baby and baby looks great and right on target. ... he then said he does not see a concern for gestational diabetes and he is gonna let me skip the test! Woo Hoo! So very glad cause I don't think I could even try to drink that drink again! -

Gestational diabetes test NIGHTMARE!
thereisonly1sara replied to beautifulnewme2012's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I'm very nervous about this test... I have mine scheduled on Aug 6th... this is not my first child but I could barely handle the drink with my other pregnancies unsleeved... so I'm very concerned since I'm sleeved now! Glad to know there are other options if I can't handle it! -
Diet while pregnant
thereisonly1sara replied to Candyapple's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I'm almost 7 months post op and I am 17 weeks preggo... I have not gained any weight yet, I have continued to lose... not a lot but still losing. This is my 4th child and I feel like this pregnancy is probably the healthiest out of all. I feel like a normal pregnant woman (if that makes sense) I just have a normal preggo belly... before I just looked like an overweight person. I habe had no issues with eating... my appetite has picked up a bit. I still get my protein in and I have had a few "unhealthy cravings" that I have given into, but nothing I feel ashamed about. I had an ultrasound on Wednesday and my baby boy is healthy as can be... so my doc is not worried at all. Good luck with your pregnancy!
