600 Lbs - "but Sometimes I Feel So Hungry"

I watched it, also! I watched that entire series of "my 600 lb life" I think is what it was called. Huge eye opener. My heart ached for all of them. But it was great to watch because it followed 4 people over e course of 7 years. It showed the struggles they continued to have over that entire time frame. I highly recommend it for anyone who thinks WLS is an easy way out.
  5. Congratulations! Very happy for you and what a great achievement.

    Va Compensation Benefits

Is that 35 BMI for lap band and no co morb? I went through VA here and for sleeve or any other WLS it was BMI of 40 or higher and no co morbs. I was told they would do the lap band at 35 BMI. I say "told," but I was given this booklet with my denial letter. Lol.

  14. Great questions to ask and great blog!
  15. Aaaawwwwww, it stinks. I am pre-sleeve. My hair is mid-booty and thick and curly and I suffer with finding a ponytail holder to go around twice. Once is not enough, twice is too much. I am also a cosmetologist. I have approx. 15-20 clients that have weightloss surgery. I FINALLY convinced approx 1/2 of them to cut their hair due to how thin it was. Those women now have their thick hair back! Cutting it helped to put it in a trendy hairstyle, keep a shape to it so it can grow back out again. so yes, it appears thicker and trendy. The few that opted to just let it hang, looks more thin than before. It's really only because the new hair that is growing back in hasn't been enough to "fill in" where it had all come out. All of them have their hair growing back, it's only what they do with it in the "in-between" that makes it better. So, yes, rock your new 'do and love it with all the weight pouring off. The hair comes back. Eat your Protein and take your supplements. Hope this helps.

    Waxing...down There.

I am pre. My date is January 11! I'm so excited, as I'm sure you are, also. and a fellow cosmetologist!! At least I didn't have to take all the class hours again. That's what they stated initially but I appealed and it worked out. Taking the tests was the easy part. But, it's amazing the "textbook" material you don't account for daily. But, I passed them first time through and was grateful.
