10 days out and still not allowed purees.
sleevin scotty replied to MLCT's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i would recommend not rushing, because as a 4 month post op sleever, i have noticed my most dramatic weight loss was during this period. most of my weight fell off the 1st 2 months and more people in my months, are experiencing stalls. im thinking of going back to full liquids a bit. gl, hang in there, its worth it. -
4 weeks out and really struggling
sleevin scotty replied to IndigoOrchid's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
you will be fine in a month or so. i think many of us feel depressed at one point after surgery. i took lots of pain meds and felt very depressed too in the begining. i was thinking what the hell did i do? maybe being heavy wasnt so bad? it gets better i promise, the next phase will be your hubbys jealousy. you will start getting tons of attention, and you will feel your wearing the pants. just assure him hes the only one and youll be fine. gl, im 4 months out now but i fell into bad depression for awhile. -
thanks, i like crystal light so im hoping ill like this too. see? who says searching the forums during insomnia is a bad thing :-)

i was told the reason salad wasnt so good was because of bulk. it tends to make us feel full faster and we may not get much protein during that meal. aside from that, if you tolerate it well then enjoy some now and then :-)

Starting Puree Diet
sleevin scotty replied to Losing weight's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
when i was in puree, i ate a lot of yogurt and cottage cheese. loved fat free refried beans with light sour cream. also i bought talapia filets and mixed it with light mayo and lemon juice, like a homade tuna. this was a staple dinner for awhile. gl on your new foods. -

Starting My Journey
sleevin scotty replied to turlinsen's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
i remember hoping surgery was right around the corner lol. it will be the best decision you ever made. i too struggled with weight all my life and the sleeve was that push that really made a difference. the liquid part is rough but once you come out of it, you truely eat differently and the pounds fall off. sugar free popsicles are my best friends to this day. -

so awesome to see so much weight loss from you guys. i hit 78lbs loss today from 9/27. had a minor complication 4 weeks ago but not sure what it is. doesnt feel like gas pain, nothing triggers it. always there just a dull soreness or ache in my lower mid stomach. -
hi guys im back. thanks for all the encouraging posts. i attended aa several times and will probably be back at one soon. still have my slip ups and on a bad habit schedule again. ill be honest though, the sleeve has been a success. i have changed the types of foods i eat, and mainly gotten my portion problem under control. when i look back at when i posted this, i cant believe id been looking for issues related to drinking. i found an answer, now i have constant intestinal pain! no idea what it is either (pretty sure i know what caused it). no insurance since december so im on a scarey path, cant believe i still pick up drinks. anyhow im trying and doing well in other ways, sucks i am letting this get the best of me. 221 lbs today from 299 sept 27th when i had surgery. whopping 78 pounds in 4 months!
