I was 33, 5'5" and 228 lbs at the beginning of my journey. My starting BMI was 38 and I had high blood pressure and sleep apnea. My surgery was August 14, 2012. I had a small complication at one of my port sites. It caused me to have internal beeding and I was rushed back into the operating room. I ended up staying in the hospital for 5 days and suffered a longer recovery period. I have been doing much better and am losing weight weekly. I count every calorie I take in and am trying to embrace taking vitamins (they get me nauseous). All in all I am very pleased with my progress and look forward to a healthy new life!
