I have mine at the end of the month and so worried! Mine is 3 long hours then i go back the next day to talk to the Dr for an hour! Why is mine so long compared to others? Oh and its going to cost me $600 but if insurance pays it all i will have to pay is my copay..

My surgeon told me I'd be able to go home the next day. I wish i could go home the same day LOL! I hate hospitals!

Hey Ladies! I have a quick question. The other night i got an email about a claim so i log in BCBS of Al site to find out they didn't pay for my Surgery consultation or Psychological testing stating it was not covered and the balance that I need to pay. Is this normal? My surgeon’s office told me all I needed to pay was my $40 copay.

Good for you! It took me 2 long years to get the nerve up to set my consultion up! I just went the first of this month. It was super easy and I feel so much better taking the first steps.

I always wanted to know this to. I swell alot and take them ever so often but I haven't had surgery yet so i don't know. However, I would make sure to ask the Dr first. Have you tried to up your water intake?

I have just told my Husband, Kids, and 1 sister. I really don't think my other family would be supportive and I don't need that negativity in my life. I might tell a few friends if I am ask how I lost the weight but I’m not planning on bringing it up unless I’m asked.

Mine says the same thing about the pictures. I decided to change offices for my surgeon today. (Same surgeon but different office and hospital). After talking to my new insurance coordinator i feel a lot better. My old insurance coordinator flat out told me if I didn’t have the last 3 years they would not approve me EVEN THOUGH I have completed all the other requirements. I was heartbroken! I called the insurance company and they told me to have them send in a pre-determination in but she just kept saying they will still deny. She didn’t offer any help and didn’t care at all! She was hell bent on not sending anything in to the insurance company. So I was never denied per say cause SHE NEVER SENT IN ANYTHING! SMH So, I decided to call the other office and speak to them. It was like night and day! She told me that she would help me fight. That we will get all the medical history I have and use 3 years of recent pictures and make sure that we have a strong case. She says even if they deny the first time the Dr can do a peer to peer and lay out all the facts. So we shall see. I just can’t wait to get this all over with.

Hi, I am going through the same thing right now with BCBS OF AL. I just want to cry. I have not been to the Dr since 2007! Even though I have been overweight since 99 they need recent records! I don't understand why it matters. I don't know what to do now. Let me know how it goes and good luck to everyone!
