Sliming I guess what they call it

I'm ashamed to say that I drink pickle juice recreationally. Just a sip but yes.. Everyday. Maybe that is why I've never slimed.

    MyFitnessPal

Is there an easier app besides my fitness pal? I'm struggling with it! It's hard to figure out- but I'm also technologically challenged !!

    WOULD U DO IT AGAIN?

Heck ya I'd do it again!!! Without hesitation... I had a great post op- no complications whatsoever! Up and walking for distance 3 days after surgery. I'm just shy of 4 months of post op and I'm down 72lbs! I have gotten the self confidence to take fitness classes ( yoga Pilates kickboxing, etc) and I'm going scuba diving in Mexico at the end of the month. I sleep better and sex with my husband is amazing! The hardest thing is staying dedicated but even that hasn't been terrible. If I need something sweet I have a bite of something sweet. I've always been a savory person so I like eating all the protein. Honestly - I'm thankful everyday for this new lease on life! Best of luck in your journey

    Nsv!

Nice work girl!!!! Good for you! I had a similar experience last night. Brought a patient to the hospital and one of the male nurses walked right past me, stopped, swiveled his head and said" holy cow, you are HOT"! Felt great to hear it! Especially cause he is kinda hunky!

    Books?

Ohhh I read "Room"- it was so so good!!! Just finished "Still Alice" by Lisa Genova. Really liked it. I like the books by Elin Hildenbrand- sorta beachy good reads. I believe most of them take place in or around cape cod. "House of sand and fog" by Andre Dubus was a wonderful read "The art of racing in the rain" Garth Stein had me in tears I could go on and on and on

    Ideas for Sleeve Friendly Sweets?

I add a couple tablespoons of dry sugar free pudding mix into a half cup of fage yogurt. Cheesecake flavor is my favorite. It is like eating cheesecake! I love the consistency and the protein I get. Plus you can use any flavor!!

Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call

I wrap a pickle in a piece of low sodium ham and low sodium Swiss cheese and microwave for 10 seconds- like a Cuban sandwich minus the bread

Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call

Green family004a I take a half cup of fage Greek yogurt and add a couple tablespoons of sugar free pudding dry mix ( cheesecake flavor is the best)!! I do this when I need a sweet treat!! It tastes just like cheese cake!!
  15. That is a great question!!! I'm curious also! I would assume if we got gastroenteritis we would still vomit and get the runs. I would also assume its much easier for us post surgery peeps to get dehydrated quickly. Anyone have more information?

    Bacon is a protein, right?

Costco has really good chicken sausage and chicken meatballs and chicken burgers. All are very tasty and good sources of protein. When I buy at Costco I bring it home, portion it out into 3 or 4 oz and freeze it. Then the night before I go to work I pack my lunch and whatever I'm eating defrosts.

    Anyone have Insomnia Post Op?

Yes- I had crazy insomnia. So my dr prescribed Ambien- I've had some weird experiences on the ambien. I have to take it in bed with the lights off or else I end up doing strange things like organizing closets, cleaning my car ( at 10pm) ordering things on groupon. So I'm very hesitant to take it. I really only take it if I need to recharge my batteries. And like I said I only take when I'm tucked in and ready to go to sleep.

    Losing breast weight

I don't fit into any of my bras anymore and I had really nice lane Bryant bras too. I'm sure breast feeding and pumping for two kids didn't help in addition to the WLS. I call my boobs "the sandbags" ugh!!! I've been using genie bras for now. I too realize that plastics will be in future when I hit goal. I'm just over 3 months post op and I've lost 70lbs so far. Ill take sandbags any day as long as I'm loosing!

    First date

Looking good!! Strut your stuff girl!! Put on some good songs while you are getting ready and light it up tonight! My getting ready song is... Hold on to me by Armin Van Buuren. The lyrics could be an anthem for any of us on our journey!!! And it's got a party beat!
