Thoughts on Dr. Almanza

I am glad to hear you are doing well! I am prepared for the "cattle call" atmosphere, as some have described it. I'm glad to hear that you were with someone who had a birth certificate and ID, as that may be my situation. Question: What were the 2 time frames for trips to the airport for return home flights? (You mentioned there were 2) Again, glad you are doing well and I'm glad you are safely home with your new sleeve -
When did you go?

Hey, I had read some where that you do not need an actual passport to travel to/from Tijuana, just an ID from the states and a birth certificate.... Is that not true? "Americans without passports or special documents also can return across the border from Tijuana with two proofs of citizenship, according to Frommer's. The most common documents include a driver's license and birth certificate, though documents such as military identification also work. Travelers 18 and younger must have a birth certificate if they are crossing without a passport." Has this changed? Please let me know girls! Otherwise I gotta rush to get an expedited passport card -

Reginator, you still went through with the surgery, though, correct? Hope you are doing well. How are you feeling? How's your healing process going? Shame about the child. I was a fat kid... I know some parents will do a lot of things to/for their kids that other adults don't understand. Not that I advocate operating on children for weight loss stuffs, but maybe he had a co-morbidity or 2... Or 3. We don't know the whole story. Hopefully it was a medical necessity and not the parents making an iffy decision. :-/ -

I've read good. I've read about others who have heard about bad, and I've seen one first hand account of bad. However, I've had several family members and several friends have this surgery here in the states... and one of them got DEATHLY ill. I really think it's the luck of the draw. Whatever is destined to happen will happen. I'm not saying that you should try your luck in some back ally with a scruffy looking guy named Joe, but I am saying is there is ALWAYS a risk, regardless of where in the world, or who in the world, is doing your surgery. Do what you feel is right. If you have doubts, change it. If you are comfortable, do your thing! Best of luck either which way you decide to go. I slapped down my deposit for Dr. Almanza this morning. Holy crap what a big fat step that was!! (The only kind of steps I take hahaha) -
Congrats!!
