Does Anyone Else Eat As Much As Me?

Dont compare yourself to others as everyone is different. Your intake sounds ok at 6 weeks out. I find it fluctuates. Some weeks/days, it feels as though I am totally pigging out then other days its tea time before I realise Ive hardly eaten all day. If you are eating a 1/4 of what you used and still losing weight, then dont sweat it. Its still a significant improvement. If you are concerned with weightloss you could try swapping your meal around (ie have your high protein meal for breakfast and lunch and do your Protein Shake for tea). Im the same as you, no pain, no issues whatsoever with food. Yes I get the odd burping session etc but I can pretty much eat what I want. I am 11 weeks out. This is what I ate yesterday:- 250ml low fat Protein Drink Hungry Jacks cheeseburger minus the bread (so only ate the meat patty and cheese) 3 oysters kilpatrick 1/2 very small dinner roll with butter 3 crumbed prawns 4 squares of chocolate Sml handful of raw nuts Cup of diet coke 3 tablespoons mashed pumpkin 3 tablespoons cauliflower with white sauce My diet varies considerably each day. I do not count calories. I have maintained a steady weightloss. Date of surgery, I was 209 lbs (95 kilos) and am now 182 lbs (83 kilos). I basically eat what I want just in much much smaller portions I also find that meat (ie chicken breast) fills me up really really quickly whereas some other foods I can eat a lot of. Good luck with your journey
  3. The bad breath etc is because your body is going through Ketosis (google it for more information). You have to make an effort to drink. Set a timer, take small sips every 10 minutes. You will start to feel better each day if you make the effort to do this. Also as others have said, seek medical advice. If you are not getting any fluids down at all then you are probably dehydrated. This is serious and should be treated promptly
  4. Yes that is true, to some degree. I do feel that it controls some of the hunger sensation but the connection Im referring to (which I should of clarified), is the psychological side. That the sleeve has no connection to controlling emotional eating etc.
  5. Wrong. Of course people want to change their bad behaviour otherwise we would of never had the surgery. The sleeve is designed to control portion sizes. It was never designed to change the mind set. It has no connection to the brain or our thought patterns. My bad behaviours have changed tremendously. I now drink half a cup of diet coke every second day as opposed to 2 cans of real coke per day. I have had only one bite of a McDonalds hamburger in the past 3 months as opposed to 3-4 maybe 5 servings of McDonalds per week. So, yes we do and we are changing our bad behaviours.. Changing bad behaviours doesnt mean we have to live on tuna and salad for the rest of our lives or completely deprive ourselves, its all about moderation, isnt it?
  6. The BEST quote I have read on this entire sight! You took the words right out of my mouth. Bravo! Hats off to you. It wasnt the half a cupcake or the two mouthfuls of diet coke that got me here in the first place, it was the slab of cake and 2 cans of real coke followed by a bag of chips and then some Maccas. Im not going to deprive myself. Im going to still enjoy all my favourite food but in much smaller portions. Have been sleeved for 10 weeks, no complications and still have a steady weightloss. Life is great
