  1. I was told not to do shakes at all. I am learning that everyone has a different plan that their NUT gave them.

I like you have started breaking out like a teenager too! In fact I look worse than my 13 year old son. I was told (don't know how true this is because a friend told me not a doc) that fat holds lots of toxins and chemicals and as you loose weight these toxins are released causing the acne. I'm curious what your NUT says.

I also have not lost any weight in over a month( I was sleeved 6 months ago). I think I may have reached my weightloss limit. Although I would take the 50 pound weightloss over the ten that I just seemed to take off and put right back on before having the surgery.

  2. I am only six months post op but I did become lactose intolerant after the surgery. That's the only allergy I've noticed so far.

I know this is off of your thread subject but out of curiousity when did your weight loss slow after surgery? I feel like I hit the six month mark and my weight loss slowed drastically.

  3. Don't worry - some of us lose slower than others - we all have different patterns. I am coming up on month 7 post surgery - had a month long stall in Sept and am coming off another one now - I am not losing as fast as I would like either but the trend is always down. Before surgery it was always up' date=' settle, then you are up some more until you I was shocked and dismayed - all the way to 318 lbs.

Its the trend over time - 2 years it often takes to get it off - according to statistics.[/quote']

Thanks for your encouragement! I feel at my wits end. But your right for some it is a slow process. Thanks!

  4. How much Water are you drinking? How much Protein are you getting in and how much carbohydrates? Are you staying between 20-30 grams of Protein? At 6 weeks I was getting in about 600 calories a day if that' date=' and 60-70 grams of protein and about 20 grams of carbohydrates a day.

I'm stalled at this moment myself, because of mistakes I am making, each stall I had is because I wasn't drinking enough Water, I wasn't counting my carbs and my calories or I was bound up and not going potty.

There was always a real reason for my stall, including at one point I was losing inches and building muscles.

What do you think the issue is? Are you counting calories, carbs, water & protein?[/quote']

I'm right within the allotted calories, carb, and protein intake. And I drink my water. A typical day for me is 1 hard boiled egg (I'm lucky if I can finish it), tuna for lunch (I'm lucky if I can eat half a cup), and for dinner Greek yogurt. You would think I would loose but it just isn't happening. The one time I did loose I gave in and had a cupcake. I just wonder if anyone has had this problem. It seems like everyone else is dropping weight like crazy.

  5. I'm incredibly depressed. I was sleeved on 10/3/12. The first three weeks I dropped 20 lbs. Then the dreaded stall came. I didn't loose a thing until November 16 when I dropped 3 more pounds. I haven't lost a pound since. So my total post op loss is 22 with only a two pound loss in the months of November. Has anyone had this happen to them? Does the weight loss pick up again? I feel like maybe this surgery won't work, like all the other weight loss efforts I tried . I am eating and exceeding and drinking Water. Don't know what else to do.

  6. I was sleeved on Oct 3rd. I couldn't feel better, I have virtually no pain and have had no problem tolerating a full liquid diet. There is just one problem I have. food looks and smells good to me. I expected to be turned off by food and that I would have to be reminded to eat. Has anyone else experienced this post op? I'm worried it will be a future indicator to my success.
