I was sleeved on 12/20 (almost 3 months ago). I had 2 pieces of CA rolls two nights ago, and it went good. So I just got some for lunch. 3 small pieces down....I will try more later...but I am SO excited that I can even eat it.
Shrimp and lobster = no go for me. It comes right back up, not matter how well I chew.

My loss has been really slow. It's totally because im still not hitting my daily requirements. I'm almost 12 weeks out and down 42.

I just ordered the Nike FuelBand today. So how us it working for you? I'm going to link it to my Lose It app on my iPhone and iPad.
I'm loving it. I was actually shocked to see how much I don't move durning the work day. I now make sure I get up and walk around every hour. I set a daily goal, so I try really hard to hit it everyday (not that I do, but I aim for it). I think it's the best investment I made in a long time.

I have the same fear, but you are smoking hot!!

I'm not addicted to sex yet, but I think about it often. If your hubby is away, I'm a Pure Roamnce consultant. I can get you something to take the edge off

My NUT says to avoid shrimp until at least 6 months out. Apparently some people have trouble digesting it.

You look amazing!! Yummy!

I had my 1 month post op appointment on Friday. My Dr told to to pay more attention to how clothes fit then the scale. She also told me now it's really important for me to workout. The scale WILL go down, but it should not be the way I measure success. The scale is an addiction. One that I need to break.

HI there. I am a serious binge eater (or was). I had surgery on 12/20 and since then, I have had to force myself to eat. I just have no interest in it. However, this past Monday, I was eating Tomato Bisque (from Mimi's - best place ever)...and I lost my mind and ate too fast AND too much. I was in SO much pain!! I tried to throw up and couldn't. I tried walking it off and then rocked myself...it was a dissaster. It did, however, scar me from over eating again. Now I'm really taking things slow - and taking more time between bites.
Are you post op?

I miss soda too...but I miss the sizzle of it. I knew that was going to be my biggest issue... I even had a huge McD's coke two days before surgery (and it sucked).

I am newly sleeved, so I can't give you tons of "experienced" words of advice...
That being said, I would sit and think about things that you can have. Go back inside and talk to the manager and let them know what the issue is. They may have something that's not on the menu and you can enjoy.
The comment your daughter had, well, it was mean - but she was also feeding off of your comment. It's true what she said, which you also know. The point being, a year from now, you can enjoy a small piece of pizza and look awesome doing it.
I also don't understand why your whole family went to the pizza place if you can eat there. Maybe chosing a different place would be better for a while. My family doesn't care where we eat, as long as it's out. LOL!
Many hugs & good luck!

I lost about the same - had my appt today. My Dr was very pleased. I'm happy with a loss. I just know tomorrow I will be less then I am today.

From being the "professional" dieter that I am *wink wink* - I would suggest journal everything. Also, if you are working out a lot, you may need to increase your calorie intake. Give it one more month. If nothing then, contact your NUT. Then you can take your journal in and they can see exactly what you are doing and make changes needed.

I was sleeved a week ago today. I was told to drink 1 ounce every waking hour. I'm constantly drinking without pain. The only time I have discomfort is when I drink my Protein Shake. I need to be careful and drink slow. However, today I got a pint of Miso Soup and ate it straight through. Is that normal? No discomfort or pain. My brother in law, who was sleeved in May, told me that I need to be careful becuase I might stretch my stomach out....but wouldn't I feel that?
Thoughts?
I have my post-op appt tomorrow, but I wanted to see what you all think.

Sounds like you had a great experience! Congrats on your sleeve. I am happy to hear you are doing so well. Way to go! Now the fun begins...

That is awesome! I can't wait for my husband to feel the same way!

Wow - that's one fast surgery. I was sleeved on 12/20 and I also have no issues or pain, but I am also on liquids. There are sometimes when I drink a Protein shake, I feel some discomfort, but it goes away quickly. Just tonight I had a few bites of mashed potatos, and no issues. I was also thinking if my Dr left too much, but then I think I'm one of the lucky ones without issues
Best of luck to you!
