Hey everyone, I'm 20 years old, 5"7 and currently weigh 165 from 222 on surgery day! I'm not planning to have children in the near future, but I know I want to eventually. I am not at my goal weight yet either, but I can tell I am going to need some reconstructive surgeries after I reach that point. Has anyone had any experience with having reconstructive surgeries (mainly breast augmentation, lift, tummy tuck or torso lipo) and then getting pregnant afterwards? Were the surgeries worth it prior or is that something someone should hold off on if they are planning on having kids. Anyone have any advice?!

Hey everyone! I'm 20 and getting sleeved in TJ, Mexico on December 13 by Dr.Lopez & Dr.Osuna. I was wondering if anyone here has experienced hair loss after being sleeved...I love my hair lol! Or even if anyone has any general tips or advice for me being a pre-opper??

I was sleeved 13/12/12 and I've lost only about 40-45 lbs so far. I am jumping around from 175-180 for the last month and a half now. Has anyone been in the same range for such a long time?! I also have been having quick, sharp pains in my left abdomen and ribs the last few days. Has anyone else experienced that??

Has anyone GAINED weight during their stall :S ?!

Hello everyone, I am at the Mi Doctor hospital in TJ. My surgery was yesterday at 11am. My mom and I were the only surgeries done by our doctor, Dr. Lopez, yesterday. Starting from the beginning...we arrived in San Diego airport on Dec 12 around 4:45 pm. No one was there to pick us up, but luckily I had Ronda and Janese's numbers. We called them after a half hour or so of waiting. Around 5:45 pm, we were being picked up by Ricardo (a new driver for the company). Then we crossed the border quickly and were soon at the Marriott. I booked with "a lighter me" and the hotel provides 3 servings of chicken broth a day...which by the way is delicious , 2 bottles of Water IN YOUR ROOM..if you get a water in the restaurant you'll have to pay. They also give us 2 Popsicles a night. These things are all included. 7am yesterday , Dec 13, we were picked up at the hotel by Abraham.

It's really frustrating! I know we will keep losing...eventually lol. Hopefully the stall only lasts a week have you been exercising at all?

It's kind of bittersweet having the drain lol. Mine was hardly collecting anything, but there were a few small blood clots in it. My mom is a nurse so she had these injectable blood thinner solutions (not positive what it was called) and injected them into our abdomens once a day. Mine still did not collect much. However, hers was full often! I think it's better to have the Fluid come out instead of staying there and swelling....but maybe she wouldn't have produced so much if it wasn't draining?!

Sleeved on 12/13/12 pre op 220 Surgery day 208 Current 192.3 I have been tracking calories on myfitnesspal, and I was around 350-400 a day, but I was feeling drained all the time. Upped my cal intake to 600-800 per day, I feel a lot better but the weight loss has decreased and stalled :/

I too was an ice cream fanatic, I could eat it everyday! Since I've been sleeved (13/12/12), I still have the craving for it but now I'm satisfied after a couple spoonfuls instead of a couple bowlfuls! And I have frozen yogurt or ice milk instead of ice cream

Thanks for the great wishes everyone I'm doing great! Already down 28 lbs from pre op diet, and 16 from surgery day. All my clothes are loose now! The recovery went well except for the drain...my drain was hardly collecting any liquid and it was VERY uncomfortable. I had horrible abdomen pain the days following surgery and had to call the doctor to take the drain out early. However, as soon as he took the drain out I felt great!

Thanks for all the kind words everyone I just drank my blue leak dye about an hour ago. So far none in my drain, yay!! Ps: sorry for the title, should be surgery not syrgery lol...And for any other spelling mistakes. It was 4 am that I wrote this

Yikes! That would be very hard to deal with. But like ksue said, the hair seems to grow back after a while! Hold in there girl, I'm sure your hair will come back soon

I'm using "A Lighter Me" and so far all of my concerns, questions and emails have be answered quickly and thoroughly. I think that there are good and bad things said about both companies...I'm sure each person's experience depends on a whole array of different circumstances...like how many people are getting surgery the same day as you for instance. All in all, I hope I'm one of those people that have a great experience with A Lighter Me!

I am also booked with Dr. Lopez and Dr. Osuna. On another thread here though, I read that a patient got to TJ for her surgery and they had replaced Dr. Osuna with Dr. Garcia without notifying her before she got there! Just ask lots of questions to be prepared for whoever you do chose

Glad to hear you're feeling well! My mom and I are going for our surgeries Dec 12 with Dr.Lopez at Mi Doctor too. How has your experience been there so far?

Is it enough to notice bald Patches? Or is it a less focused hair loss and just thinning? I think I could handle the thinning, but not the patches!! That's completely true, everyone keeps saying that it isn't a permanent thing. If you don't mind me asking, what form do you take biotin in? Are there any odd side effects from it?! Can't wait to be shedding the clothing sizes either. Happy losing

Congrats on the weight loss saritawillslim, That's great! I can't wait for mine to be melting off too lol. Applesauce sounds like a good idea, maybe I can bring some unsweetened ones or something yikes! I hope my hair doesn't come out wads! Hahaha that last part is so true, and as far as I've researched, the hair comes back! So it's a small price to pay temporarily
