In need of some dinner ideas

It depends on my mood.....craving cheeseburger then I get ground turkey make a patty in skillet with no calorie butter spray and melt kraft single cheese slice over it and can put in romaine lettuce leaf with whatever condiments (I use miracle whip light and mustard), catfish in skillet with garlic and no calorie butter spray with garlic powder and broccoli is good, turkey italian sausage by dirussos with grilled onions, I really like kashi go lean cereal (lots of protein and good) I use some splenda on it to make it sweeter, cauliflower pizza recipe is good ( I found it on recipes on here), just some ideas hope it helps

    chipotle? subway?

Okay.....had a chipotle bowl with black beans, chicken, fajita veggies, lettuce, a lil corn salsa, tomato salsa, quacomole.......was able to eat 1/4 of it at a meal (x2 meals today and probaly will be 2 meals tomorrow)......yum yum good and high in protein.....the entire bowl 585 calories and 46 mg of protein. I also spoke with my nutritionist today about subway as well and aside from salads she recommended 6 inch sub and have them hull out the bread so its the toasty outer part plus what stuff I want....so that will be next

How long did you take off work?

My dr said 4 to 6 wks.....my surgery was 12/21 and I go for my last follow up with the surgeon 1/28 so I should be released then to return to work.....so approx 5 and half wks off. I am sure it depends on what kind of work one does........but I couldn't going back to work for at least 3 and half to 4 wks at the earliest. My stomach was still very tender and my energy level was down......plus eating every 2 hrs......I honestly couldn't have gone back to work prior to 4 wks, so I am glad I am getting the time off I have.

    Warm sweet treat

My nut encourages me to drink non fat skim milk (1 cup twice per day.....for 8 mg protein per cup).......so in the evening I put 1 cup of milk......lil vanilla extract.......lil cinnamon......lil splenda and microwave.....yummy.......and if you desire 1 serving of sugar free cool whip (2 TBSP is 20 calories).....and this counts toward my 64 oz of daily fluid plus protein and sooooo good!

    Ranch dressing!

Taste good?....I can't stand the taste of low fat or fat free ranch dressings ........is this an improvement from the store bought?
  15. I will be 1 wk post op tomorrow, and I still struggle to get all my water in; I am avg 50 oz per day, but still trying to get that 64 oz. I am also trying not to gulp my water. I have been consuming skim milk, creamed soups made with milk and add non fat powdered milk for the protein. Plus I have yogurt smoothie/ peanut butter smoothie and no sugar added carnation instant breakfast made with skim milk and non fat powderd milk added for protein (1/4 cup of each per serving, these recipes were given to me from the hospital/ nut). Goal is 60g of Protein per day. I feel content, but I have worried about stretching my pouch too....I have to remind myself that I am not consuming that much really.
