8 months out...down 82 lbs -
I am 8 months out also and have lost 82 lbs with 17 more to go. I haven't kept up with my vitamins because I always get sick after them. I notice I bruise so easy! I did just start Zumba 3 times a week so I hope that helps with tightening of the arms and legs.

syrup79 replied to jennaleigh1992's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
I was sleeved by Dr. Sherman Yu in Houston on 11/21/12 with the single incision procedure. Couldn't be happier with the results and the staff. I see him tomorrow for a follow up visit. I was self pay. -
Single Incision and Abdominal Wall Catheters
syrup79 replied to misslady's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hello, I used Dr. Yu and had the SPIDER procedure done at Park Plaza on 11/21/12. I am so thankful I chose him. I had my passport and plane tickets purchased for Dr. Lopez in Puerto Vallarta. I got scared and stayed local. I do not know about the abdominal wall catheters? I had a rough 3 days bc I had a hernia that Dr. Yu fixed while I was under. I coughed up a lot of stuff. Other than that I was sore but by the 5th day felt much better. I am 10 weeks out now and am seeing him in the morning for a follow up. -

Nov Sleevers... What's Your Status?
syrup79 replied to Yasmine's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved 11/21 and I lost 10 lbs. post op then 11 lbs in this past 2 weeks. Having horrible heart burn though. I still have some tenderness to the left of my belly button but the surgeon told me today its because that is the side the stomach was removed from. Just started pureed foods today! Cream of wheat has never been so good! -
I Can't Stick To The 2 Week Pre-Op :)
syrup79 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Has anyone else had this happen? I know I will physically be able to stick with it once my stomach is swollen but should I back out of surgery because I can't keep food out of my mouth until then? I'm so disappointed in myself! I didn't mean to put a smiley face in the topic!!! it should have been -

Thank you....I have cheated 2 times and am on day 5. I still have 9 days to go so I will stay strong. The thought of something going wrong with my surgery scares me to death. Thank you all for the words. -

That is really good advice. I have to remember I am the one that wanted this. I guess I was hoping that even if I didn't follow the pre op diet I could still get surgery and go full force from there. Horrible huh? I need to buck up and do this!! -
I have been dreaming of food! I have stayed strong so far. Its day 3 and I wish I could fast forward to the 21st!!!

Has anyone else had this problem? I have a Galaxy II and have the VST mobile app but can't reply or post from my phone. I have already deleted the app and reinstalled. Thank you!

I never thought I would say this but Thank God I am sick starting my pre-op diet! I can't smell anything and haven't noticed much that I have been on liquids since yesterday. I hope it stays like this!!! Good luck y'all!

Hello all! I am a WLS mess! I originally booked my surgery and tickets to go to Puerto Vallarta to have the sleeve with Dr. Lopez and Osuna. I chickened out yesterday and have decided to stay local. I found Dr. Sherman Yu that does the SPIDER technique that is a single incision through the belly button with minimal recovery time. Has anyone heard of this or had it done? I really need to connect with some people on here! I am doing my psych evaluation and consultation all in one day (Nov. 2nd) so would love some input. Wanting the surgery on Nov. 22!

Russell, I am starting to have questions now I will begin my pre-op on Wednesday. Was that really tough to get through? I am a FT student and single mother of 2 and care for my elderly father. I am a little nervous about how I will keep them fed while I am on liquids!!! Any tips or encouragement would be great!!! -
