Congratulations!!

I am sitting at 3 1/2 months and OMG yes stalls happen... right now im struggling to hit a major milestone and am fustrated because im only loosing ounces instead of pounds... big differance that is affecting me is water weight... its getting warm outside here so im drinking way more water and unsweet tea then i have so far.. .the water weight is slowling me down but im sure my body will get back into the groove as soon as it balances out. Hang in there!

I am a few days shy of the two month mark... i am down 76 pounds so far

my drs office did the same thing... drove me flipping NUTS!!!

your having "buyers remorse" its perfectly NORMAL... My surgery was 12/28, i was also in the hospital for 4 days, and i went threw the SAME thing... i would cook for my family and CRY over scalloped tators and Ham... i was a mess. Im just starting to get past that point. at just past three weeks out my foods have more variety and i KNOW now that i cant tolerate most of what smells so good anyway. the trick is to find what you can eat.. and enjoy it! Hang in there... it will get better.. promise:)

Im sorry for your sister... but your "scare tatic" should be to warn people to research the Docs they choose... what happened to your sister sounds like Malpratice to me... I hope you got a good attorney. People that make this choice usualy do TONS of searching for the right Docs, the right Hospitals. It sounds like your sister made a bad choice and is now paying for it... THAT is the message you should be telling people about.

I am waiting for the next week to be over... i even told myself im not going to step on the scale for a few days ( trying for a week but yeah.. that wont happen) if WE can push threw this we will be fine! ps... today wasnt as hard as i thought it would be... even the waitress felt sorry for me.. but i walked out of it with a new drink... the sweet but very very verrrrrry thin waitress who felt sorry for me added a half of an orange to my iced tea.. OMG it was great!!!!! if your an iced tea person.. you gotta try it. she thought i might enjoy the fresh orange taste... and she was right!

i have given up on pants and just wear skirts. but i have the same issue with shirts... i have lost 55 pounds and dont think my size has gone down overall.. because every thing is so differant. one think i have noticed... this morning when i got dressed i had to toss out my favorite undies... they FELL off my ass when i stood up.... sometimes its the little things:)

Your not alone in "hating this" right now... im 15 days post op.. and today i had the JOY of sitting at buffalo wild wings and watching my family eat a huge lunch in front of me... i managed to do it without crying.. so i thought i got an A+. And no.. i didnt have an option other then sitting in the freezing cold car while they ate, we were on a family outting and i was stuck with it. Letting go of the desire to eat and the head cravings are really hard... this 2-3 week stage doenst help any either.. i feal fine.. im fighting with what i can and cant eat..the scale is stalling because im adding more calories back into my diet.... and i have NEVER done well with things i CANT have ... it has nothing to do with knowing what i was getting into or anything else.. i think its a normal part of the struggle for alot of us. and before anyone says anything snarky to me... please remember that im POST op... emotional... fighting head hunger that is telling me i would LOVE large burger (weather i could eat it or not doesnt matter i still want it) hating nasty tasting protien whey... and probely PMS'ing.... and really just venting so Ally knows she isnt alone right now.... if you cant say anything helpfull... dont say anything at all.

"Hey, I could take her!" LMAO... thanks i needed a good laugh today... im 2-3 weeks right now also... and i had that SAME thought... my skinny mom was eating a turkey sandwich in front of me... she alsmot didnt survive it.

12/28 down 33 pounds ince surgery... 55 total... and yes.. im a stall too... im hoping it breaks tomorow. i also upped my calories to the 600 range and the loosing stopped.

Tell her "thank you for your concerns, i appriecate your support" and then do what your heart tells you to do. as long as your Dr doesnt think your too thin or unhealthy... go for it. if your mom or anyone brings it up again... just remind them that you dont go around telling them what they should weight.

I would suggest sitting down with your NUT and getting some feedback while looking at your overall diet and excerise. I wont tell you to hang in there... if it were me i would be flipping out... i have lost 36lbs since surgery 12/18/12... i cant imagine doing this for only a few pounds.best of luck to you!

Hello one and all.... i had my sleeve done and my gallbladder removed on December 28th of 2012. i would LOVE to start a group either here or Fb for myself and other 28th'ers to chat on... my family is very supportive and all.. but its so much nicer to talk to people who understand.

im doing ten days of liquid diet.. it sucks. I called the office today and was told i could eat soups... clear or creamed of course, but still no cottage cheese or anything else. I started protien whey today also... im struggling to get any protien in every day. and yes i understand about the tummy rumblings... mike has been..but its not hunger... the strips have help. i look at it as my tummy yelling at me for what i did to it:)

i get SO fustrated with people telling me what i need to eat or drink... im really regreting telling anyone about my choice and my surgery.

hello, Im six days p[ost op also.. had my sleeve and gallbladder on the 28th too. i was going to ask about the prilosec also.that or get yourself some gasX strips... they help alot. As for the hunger... i dont have a clue... my problem is just the opisit... im not hungry at all... i feal like im forcing food in and getting no where close to being able to take in as much as i need to. what sort of postop diet plan did they put you on?

UPDATE! after alot of stress and WAITING... I APPROVED!!!!!!!!! Cinga denied it at first... it was an issue with the 90 days NSWL(wasnt up until dec 26th)... we corrected it.. and re sent paperwork YESTERDAy,., it was approved yesterday afternoon... i found out today. Im beside myself... i screamed into the phone when i got the call... my poor insurance cord was screaming too LOL... she has been fighting tooth and nail for me! I go to the Hospt tomorow morning at 5:30 am... set for the surgery at 7am... im SO nervouse im trying hard not to throw up right now. I hope everyone else gets there approval fast! 20 days of stress about killed me.

stress.... i have been throwing up since my insurance was submitted. went for pre op testing today and had to stop and throw up ... it really sucks hope you feel better!!!

your not alone... mine was submitted 12/7 and i still havent heard anything... i also have Cigna and have called twice... its driving me NUTS. My surgery is set for Dec 28th, i did my preop tests today.. im on day TWO of the ten day liquid diet. We are trying to push it to be done this year becuase i have met my out of pocket max. If i dont get approval before surgery day... they will move it back or move it to Jan and i did the liquid for nothing... talk about fustration! I havent been sleeping and im so stressed i cant take much more.. im jumping everytime the phone rings.
