I have not been sleeved yet. My husband is actually going to be sleeved before me. He has told his mom and sister about both of us. I have told my 10 and 14 yr. old and my mom and one male friend from high school who is probably 600+ lbs. and he almost died last year from complications of his weight. He is 47 yrs old and is basically home bound. My husband said he called a few weeks ago and said that he is considering having gastric by pass. I don't want to have to cry over him again.

I have not been sleeved yet, but I am a sweet aholic and I am hoping I will lose my taste for them. Sweets are the reason I'm fat.

Hi Moniq22. because my BMI is under 50 my insurance Blue Care Network of Michigan requires that I have 6 months of diet monitoring by my doctor. I don't have to lose a specific amount or be on a specific diet. The wording from the insurance said something like I should be on a diet that would enable me to lose 1-2 lbs. a week. I'm really bad and I do protein shakes for a week before I go weigh in, so far I have lost 17lbs. I have 121lbs to lose. I could lose more and faster but my insurance also states that I must lose at least 100lbs after WLS in order for them to pay for plastic surgery on my stomach which I know I will need after all this fat and carrying 3 boys.

I just read on another post on here that someone said that adding 500-800mg of Magnesium plus 2 fiber gummies really helps with that. They said that they were finally regular and able to stop the Miralax.

Congrats on your surgery, you sound like you are recovering really well. I am not sleeved yet -6 month diet thing, but I hope to have a good experience like you.

I believe I read on some other post that it's some type of eating disorder. You can enter it under topic search and see what you get or you could google it.

I am pre op and obsessed with having the surgery. I have to do a 6 month diet per insurance so I am constantly thinking about when this will end so that I can have my surgery. I am on my IPad daily checking out VST so that I will know what to expect. Like the OP my family gets pretty annoyed with me also. To top it off my husband is going to have to sleeve before me and he does not know any of the things that I have learned. He is going to be like a fish gasping for air. I asked him what he is going to do if I changed my mind and didn't have it. I feel that he needs to educate himself about the surgery and all that is to follow.

Unjury is good and they have a chicken soup one. Chike I liked all the flavors. Syntax Nectars are good their double stuffed cookie mixed with skim milk taste like a milk shake. If you want a clear protein shake I like cytosport max mixed with crystal light lemonade to cut the taste.

Others have posted that it's your body's way of catching up. Some people stall through out their weight loss and some don't ever stall.

You sound like you are doing pretty good other than the nausea. Wishing you a speedy and easy recovery.

Are you waiting the right amount of time to drink before and after eating?
