Vitacraves And Other Gummy Vitamins
cmayfield85 replied to aprilcarrie's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
My surgeon told me no gummy vitamins has anyone heard the same or know why not? -
I feel your pain. I'm 27 and 2 weeks post op and I love to BBQ and Smoke meats and make all kinds of good soul food. I first off asked God for strength and I realized I can still eat this stuff in a while but not in ridiculous portions. Most importantly I'm a man and never been to the beach or pool without a shirt on, that hurts more. I'm praying for you!

"wls Is Not What God Intended..."
cmayfield85 replied to Susan 2.0's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My response to her would be to tell her to read Matthew 18:7 and what its says if there is a temptation that causes you to sin then it is better to remove it. Gluttony is a sin and if removing 80 % of your stomach keeps you from that, I say God Bless You! -

I'm 5 days post Op and I feel pretty good. Walking helps alot and protein shakes give you energy. It was a little difficult getting 1oz down every 15 min at first but now its a lot easier almost normal. Once the swelling and healing take place you have alot easier of a time doing everything. Gas x and prilosec are real helpful. Bottom line water, protein and walk.

cmayfield85 replied to cmayfield85's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So I had my surgery on Friday and I got discharged on Sunday. All I can say is get your protein in for energy ASAP, I found in my case that It makes a world of difference drinking Isopure every 15 min. Get your multivitamin and B-12 in too. -

I figured baby food is a soft easily digestible food for post op. Walking Is definitely something I will definitely Concentrate on doing. I heard the heating pad helps with soreness and keeping you warm. Appreciate the incite! -
