Dr. David Kim from Kim Bariatrics is AWESOME!
skinnytiff posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Dr Kim did my surgery Jan 2012 and since I have lost a little over 90 lbs! If you are looking for a knowledgeable doctor you can trust, Dr Kim is the one! He is out of Colleyville, TX but also handles traveling patients. He knows what he is doing and I totally trusted him. I liked the fact that he was well known. I was so glad I chose him to do my sleeve. He is a very nice gentleman that doesn't beat around the bush one telling you what you need to do to get surgery done. I love that his practice is growing adding more doctors. Dr Holden is a very nice doctor as well. I am truly living life again thanks to Dr Kim! His staff is amazing and very helpful! Dr Kim is the man!! -
Since being sleeved a little over 2 years ago, I turned 40 and I had my hormones checked bc Im not sleeping well, major fatigue in daytime, extremely low sex drive. A woman's testerone is supposed to be in the 100's, mine was 34. So Im on testerone cream where a phamistist makes the right amount for me. I've been on it for a few weeks and Im still having the same issues. Maybe it takes time for the cream to work. Has anybody had this issue?

Insurance help
skinnytiff replied to phewforaminutethere's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Hi, so Im curious, did you go with Dr Kim to do your surgery? -
Yes and no. I am 2 1/2 yrs out, when I started loosing lots I wanted to have it all the time. That was the honeymoon phase after surgery. Now after 90 lbs gone, yeah I like to have it but not all the time like it was the first year. Its like things have mellowed out. I actually got diagnosed with low testonrone, so I am on a compounded cream to help with that. Sex is a heck of a lot better without all the weight though!

40, Sleeved, 2 yrs out, low Testerone
skinnytiff replied to skinnytiff's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
thank you for your thoughts, I have lost a little over 90 lbs after surgery. I had slight sleep apnea before surgery, but didn't have to get the cpap. I refuse to have anything hovering over my face when I sleep. I have been on the cream for 3 weeks or so now. It takes time for your body to get acculamated to it. I have been sleeping much better most of the time. I have noticed the harder I exercise the better I sleep. I do have 50 more lbs I would like to loose, so maybe when I get that accomplished sleep will be better? -

skinnytiff replied to melodyrene77's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Melody, did you have surgery with Dr Holden? I have heard great things about her! Dr Kim did my sleeve jan 2012. I agree with you Dr Kim would not add someone to his practice without full trust in them. How are you doing? -

Dr Kim did my surgeryJan 2012 and I have lost a little over 90lbs. I still want to loose 50 to get to goal but I am very proud of myself for how far I have gotten. I would not have been able to do it without Dr Kim. I chose him because I had seen his face on billboards and commericals. He seemed well known and knew what he was doing. That was just the case, I trusted him from the minute I met him. He is very nice and spent a lot of time with my on my consultation. I went to many prep classes in the office which were very helpful! The office staff is amazing! They are so helpful and encouraging! I can do zumba, jog, bike ride all at ease now and I have even zip lined!! Im loving living life again and Im glad I chose Dr Kim as my Bariatric surgeon!
