skinnytiff replied to BrownEyedTxGirl's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Hi, Browneyed! Dr Kim did my inverted sleeve 3 years ago. He is an excellent doctor and your right the staff is amazing!! What I love about Kim Bariatric is the after surgery support! They have monthly support groups, monthly fitness events with Nate Newton and biking fitness events. Dr Kim throws his staff a really nice Christmas party for his patients each year. The private Facebook group is amazing!! We do 5ks/10ks together, monthly breakfast/dinner get togethers, we have gone dancing and painting together. We are doing our first KBI cruise this year!! So KBI has lots to offer and doesn't leave you hanging after your surgery. You are not just a number, you are important and success is very important to KBI. Good luck to your journey to whomever you choose! -

No Bariatric benefits on Insurance? $4900 special
skinnytiff posted a topic in Insurance & Financing
If you have insurance, and your insurance won't cover bariatric surgery. Dr David Kim is doing a special for $4900. You have to go get checked for a Hiatal hernia which most all overweight people have. Then your General insurance pays for the test for that and the repair of it during WLS, and the bariatric cash price is 4900! Great deal! -

Hiatel hernias are very common in most people that overeat and are overweight. What is your weight? Some people have symptoms and some don't. Some of the symptoms are acid reflux, indigestion and heartburn. I used Dr Kim and he has this same program. Good luck on your journey! -

skinnytiff replied to NiecyBelle12's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Dr Kim did my sleeve 3 years ago and I have no regrets. Hes a great doctor and knows what he is doing! He does offer a traveling patient program, you should give Kim Bariatrics a call. I have my life back thanks to him! The staff is amazing as well and the support after surgery is lifelong, that is huge plus, a lot of surgeons don't offer after surgery support. Good luck to your journey! -
Just getting started...Thanks

Im 2 1/2 years out and in the beginning I had a high one, but now I have a very low one. I take all the vitamins I'm supposed to, exercise, use a compounded testorone cream bc my testorone was low, and my drive is still low. Its crazy. I have a new job and its very stressful, that's the only thing I can think of is the high stress causing the lack of interest. When we are child free and are able to go on dates its better, but that doesn't happen very often. Have you had your hormones checked?

You may have already had surgery by now. But to qualify for the Dr Kim's Making Bariatrics Affordable plan, you have to have insurance with in network and out of network benefits. Also your insurance has to have and exculsion for bariatric surgery. Yes you do have to go get an upper endoscopy to check for a hiatal hernia. 99% of Dr Kim' s patients have one weither it be small or big, they have one. Really anyone who is overweight, has heartburn, acid reflux, indigestion are a clues that you have a hiatal hernia. If you have a hernia then you are qualified for the 4900 sleeve special. Hope this info helps.

Actually to get the 4900 you have to have insurance but you have to have in/out of network benefits and no bariactric benefits at all with the insurance. -
I have been married almost 22 years. Since I have lost the weight 2 1/2 yrs ago with surgery I finally have found out what a true orgasm is. Not that I didn't have them before, but I think im more in "tune" with what's going on when they happen. The only thing is it takes a vibrator plus my hubby to get there, and its freakin amazing! I hope my hubby doesn't think that he is not good enough for it to be just him? Anyone else have to have a toy to get there?
