I also had some "food funerals" but I didn't get to the point of making myself sick from eating too much. My family indulged me in an early "bonus" Thanksgiving dinner using all of my mom's recipes. I also went on a date with my husband and had steak and lobster at the best steakhouse in town. It was worth it. It helped me to prepare for the pre-op liquid diet; I am day four on liquids! It is a personal choice as to whether you want to indulge a little. For me, it helped to mentally prepare me for the transition. Surgery on Wednesday October 24th....
