  1. Good morning everyone. I havent been on a while. Feeling amazing. Had my 2 month follow up yesterday and I can't believe it has gone by so fast. I have had my stalls and have been upset at myself for things I have been eatind and been drinking but my doctor says that I am losing pretty well even though I had a stall for 2 weeks. Started losing again so I know this is working. Fitting into clothes that I thought I would never fit into. I'm loving it though. The butt is going away and the boobs are heading down south. LOL. Its worth it. I can get them fixed later. Hope everyone is doing well.

  2. I saw my dr and nut at 3 weeks. I told the nut I was hungry all the time and she said I could start a regular diet. She thought the puree was not satisfying my hunger. She said I am healed and can have whatever I want' date=' including breads, Pasta, and rice. I told my dr I was having light headedness and felt sleepy, esp when driving on the freeway. She told me to try going back on coffee with caffeine. So, both suggestions, to resolve hunger and the head symptoms, have made a huge difference. Granted, it takes me an hour to drink a cup of coffee and 2 bites of chicken and I am stuffed but, I still drink pro. shakes and feel the reg. food is more of a supplement because I eat so little. I was wondering if anyone else is on a regular diet yet and how it is going.[/quote']

I'm also on a regular diet accept for beef. Which ive never been a big fan of anyway. I love me sleeve so far. Been a really cheap date. Just share food from my friends plate and I'm done. They freak out. I've also been really good about no alcohol. It's been hard, but it's been awesome seeing the way I look now. Good luck everyone. Still have a long road ahead of us. I've lost a total of 36 lbs.

  3. What is the difference between puree and soft? Is puree when you strain chunks out? I feel like there is a lot of overlap. Overlap between full liquids and puree and overlap between puree and soft. I was only given two stages of diet when I was discharged: full liquids/shakes/soups and soft/soups with more chunks/etc.

I was never on a puréed stage. My NUT just said that would be gross. Lol. So just anything I eat have to chew really well. Surgery was Dec 17 also.

  4. I am exactly one week post op. I have lost 15 pounds so far but sometimes I stay hungry even after I've eatn what I am supposed to. Ive heard people say they had to set an alarm to remember to eat because they didn't want anythingl. Has anybody else experienced this hunger? What do I do?

    Thanks' date='

Is it hunger? Or are you thirsty? Your body doesn't know the difference. Try drinking some Water and wait 15 minutes and see if it passes. GOOD LUCK!

  5. oh wow. salmon is my absolute favorite :( im really worried about dumping syndrome. is something that passes eventually or is it just something you will deal with forever

It's your body telling you that you had something to high in far. Which can be a good thing because you won't try it again. Usually passes in 20-30 minutes. I've only experienced once and believe me I hope it never happens again.

  6. Thanks for encouragement...I know you are walking every day' date=' but I am curious the duration and the rate (if known). I only began walking for an hour without stopping this week. To be honest, walking outside isn't really that much fun, because it is COLD (30s), so I have been borrowing my neighbor's treadmill. Well, the first time I used the treadmill for an hour, I had a lot of acid reflux afterwards, so I know that I could not have used it that long last week. Generally I have no pain in my abdomen and I can bend, but walking only 3MPH on the treadmill gets my stomach all upset.[/quote']

We had a someone come talk to us and told us to start with 10 min 6 days a week. Each week add 10%. So far that has helped me. Good luck

  7. I keep reading about people who are not as happy with their two week weight loss. Well' date=' I've officially only lost 7 lbs in 2 weeks and 2 days...following doctor's instructions on eating and exercise. He tried to comfort me with the magical words "everyone is different," but he admitted that typical weight loss is 15-20 lbs. it's very discouraging because I am on 600-800 calories/day which would have felt like starving before the surgery. Of course, I am not hungry now, but it's only a matter of time and we do get our appetite back...Sigh...[/quote']

How do you get that many calories in a day. I can't even get 300 calories a day.

  8. They sell stuff in the doctors office too. I bought samples to try. So far the vanilla is the only one that is ok but I am all out of samples and the office is an hour away. They do approve of the carnation....not sure about boost though. Where do you get trader joes? Also....do you know the kind at costco? Thanks for responding. I appreciate it' date='[/quote']

The brand that I like they sale at Costco and Sam's Club is called Premier. It has 30 grams or Protein.< /p>
