I lost 40 lbs when I went to my 2 week post op appt. Our stats are very similar. The more you have to lose the faster it comes off. It's crazy losing weight that's fast, but totally awesome at the same time!
-
You look great! Congrats
-
I love, love my sleeve! Only about 1/2 way to my goal, but for the first time in my life I really think I'm going to reach it and keep it!
-
Thank you, that's what keeps me motivated. I know the next 80 will be harder to lose probably but the pay off is going to be so much greater!
-
It's just hard to admit, my drivers license says 250lbs, so I enjoy the whole denial thing. So excited for you and you upcoming surgery! It's by far the best thing I have ever done for myself. I hope you have as easy surgery/recovery as I did.

Ugh, I hate to put it on record, but here goes 5'7 BSW 399 CW 319. Okay that was painful, ha ha
-
Oh and BTW, it was 80's day at work for my before.

Thank you everyone! Don't have the best pics, most of mine are me trying to hide behind someone. I'm the pink blob, ha ha. As you can tell journey not over but on its way. I'm like the only one who's surgeon didn't weigh them before surgery, but 80lbs down from my 2 weeks preop appt. For as what I eat daily.. lean Proteins and low carb veggies and lots of Water. I was told today maybe too much water. I don't eat until I drink a bottle 16.9 oz of water before every meal (after my 30 mins. wait of course). I hope everyone success! UPDATE ON OCTOBER SLEEVERS WHERE ARE YOU
jib replied to chris54's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sleeved 10/11/12 had a great surgery and recovering. As of yesterday down 80lbs. Unfortunately only about half way there, but wow what a wonderful start. Could have never done it without my sleeve. Best thing I've ever done for myself. -
My surgery was 10/11/12, and feel the same. I thinks it not working or I'm doing something wrong because I don't lose lbs everyday. But, I've lost almost 80lbs. Which is not something I could have done without my sleeve. This week I lost almost 15lbs other weeks I've gained 3. I'm trying to just relax and make good choices that will hopefully get me to my goal weigh.

October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves
jib replied to SkinnyMinnie2Be's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi Oct. Sleevers! Congrats on everyones successes. I was sleeved 10/11/12 so far I'm down 60lbs. Have alot more to go but very excited. I love my sleeve, it is everything I was hoping it would be! -
Ugh, me too. Had 2 peanut butter cups. And now feel sick and stupid!

For my pre op diet, I wad allowed unlimited non starch veggies. What saved me was oven roasted veg soup. I'd bake broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, cabbage/brussels sprouts, red peppers, zucchini. Top with spices. After cooked chopped them up into little pieces and add to chicken broth with chili flakes. So good and my whole family liked it as well. I'm on my liquid post op now but will be bringing back in dinner rotation asap.
-
Mine is 10/11/12 too! Reading this post makes my fear and anxiety fade. Makes me exited again and remember why I sighed on for this. So happy for you. Congrats!
-
Thanks for your responses. I'm glad to hear someone else was on the same pre op as me. And you made me realize my fear. I'm not suffering, so I was worried I'm doing it wrong. Words like unlimited and free when it comes to food.....Um I don't feel my 105 lb Dr. knows what that could look like. I'm half way there, week from today I'll be full after a few Oz! Can't wait. Sent from my Galaxy ll using VST

I haven't cheated, but I'm worried I'm eating too much. I can have unlimited amount of non starch vegetables. But I feel I'm taking the word"unlimited"too far. I obviously have portion control issues, that's why I'm getting the surgery. I'm assuming they know that when they gave me the instructions. I Just want my liver to shrink and to lose some weight to help my chances. Everybody has such different pre op diets, and most are all liquid.

I completely understand how you feel. When I was given my surgery date of a month out I was upset it was so far away. But as it get closer, I'm getting scared. I thought I was so ready. After the 6 month diet and all hoops I've been jumping through since Jan. I can't believe I feel like this. I just keep imaging my life post op and I get excited again.
