    Severe Nausea After Eating

find what works for you. I'm 4 months out and still using Phenergan suppositories twice a day while mostly eating Quest Proten bars and yogurt fruit smoothies Not much real food yet. some of us take longer. It's hard to work through it Keep calling your dr.

    Any More Sixties?

Great to hear so many sleevers closer to my age 60! Have had problems. with nausea but dr. so proactive and compassionate. I still take anti-nausea once a day. It was hard for me to get enough protein in too. Finally found Quest protein bars. It was a little harder get over surgery. could be that its because I'm over 60. But that was minor compared to the benefit of this sugery. Had my sleeve done on July 17 and have lost 50lbs. My husband had his sleeve on September and has lost 60lbs. Of course, he had no side effects from the surgery. No nausea. Only asked for pain meds once while in hospital and nothing once he was home. Thankfully, he breezed through it all. Was back to work in 2 weeks. My mom fell two years ago and broke her femur. Had to have open heart at the same time. We saw so many elderly people and their families struggling with their recoveries. THIS MOTIVATED US to do whatever we could to stay as healthy as we could for as long as we could.Hopefully, it will not only make our lives easier but also our childrens. I wish this would have been available to us 20 years ago. I'd encourage anyone who has struggled with their weight for all their lives whether they're 25 or 65 to look into this. Have new wrinkles and extra skin but so much better than extra fat!

    Still Sick:(

I understand how horrible that feels. Don't give up. I finally had to use suppositories. Not pleasant to administer but they did the trick. I am now three months out and use one or two a day. My doctor told me that nausea is the most common complaint. When something didn't work he responded by trying something else. Please call your dr. Feeling that way day after day is so discouraging. Not getting your fluids or protein in is DANGEROUS. You don't want to end up in the hospital. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't had such a compassionate dr. Keep trying for a solution.
  4. A little over 2 months out. Have had nausea from the start. My doc has been very responsive. Gave me suppositories right from the beginning. Foolishly I hoaded them and took only one a day. Didn't know I would get more. Suffered most of the day. Told doc how discouraged I was. He has no problem prescribing 30 at a time. They only cost around $15. Told me this is the most common side affect and that it needs to be treated for as long as it lasts. I was so relieved that he took it seriously and I feel so much beter. Keep calling your doc and tell them the over the counter stuff doesn't work. You don't need to suffer. You can't be successful if you can't eat or drink. WE'RE ALL DIFFERENT. I have not had any side affects from the suppositories. The side affects of not getting your protein or fluids are disasterous.
