My MIL was a MIL from hell and I learned one very very important life lesson from her... How never to treat my future DIL. I'm going to be the bestest MIL ever there was. OP..my weight was a huge conflict also. Strange thing was I was never over 150 lbs, before she passed away. I know how you feel though.. Just the underlying comments were like lemon on an open wound. Once my DH and I got into an argument and she asked me if maybe we'd be happier if I didn't weigh so much!?!

I had a reduction ten years ago during one of my skinny years and they haven't change much since. With all my weight ups and downs ...I'm very fortunate that the girls haven't headed south

Your staples are forever a part of the new you. Dr Ponce De Leon is my surgeon... Very experienced and super competent. Outstanding staff and Trish is number one in my opinion

I'm a few lbs to my half way goal and I haven't thought of anything yet. Maybe I'll get some idea from the responses here

That's so not true with all drs. What a poop! My surgeries were all in MX and when I had complications (bands) there were several different bariatric drs more than happy to help me. Fact, I had one that didn't charge me.. ! You can see your PCP for after care and if there's more serious concern they will locate a dr. Jeeze Louise... What ever happen to the ethical obligation drs agree to when they graduate? Some drs just SUCK!

Completely normal. And with time it will get back to your norma normal. Except the cold part.. It's a major complaint for a lot of us and sounds like it will probably last forever.. I'd rather be cold than fat so no biggy for me

Before the dr would ok me for a revision I had to wait 18 months for my stomach to heal from the damage the band did. I gained 89lbs!?!? Yuk! So mad at myself

With the band I was down to 104lbs, so I can't say the band didn't work, weightlosswise. Unfortunately, for sooooo many it comes with a lot of maintenance costs and constant medical problems and eventually life threaten complications. BUT.. It does work with some people. But if you think of the maintenance cost and hassle I find it too pricey!

Don't forget that on long flights you may be so uncomfortable on the plane you will appreciate the non direct flights in order to walk more and "de-gas" your body. This saved me on one of my surgeries and I was so thankful.

I had this when I was banded. They told me it was either my body's reaction to the band, eating too fast, not chewing enough, eating too much or reflux. Maybe change your meds and try elevating the possibilities I mentioned? Always ask your doc though.

I have been called many nasty things for what I posted, also. It didnt take long for me to see I should have said the same thing, but way differently. I sincerely apologized and now I always try hard to word my responses without any hint of judgement or condescending words. WELCOME EVERYONE!
