They lose weight because they don't do it alone. They have trainers, special nuts, big fat cameras in their face (and on their big ass) and half of the country with them. Sheesh... If I had that I'd lose too.. But no doubt I'd gain it back. And no doubt they will too

Been there... Still there! SD 12/14 Maybe it's the curse of Christmas surgeries.. I gave up weighing myself. I'm hoping one day my clothes will just fall off me and then I'll know I've broken the stall

Help after Surgery
Ms.AntiBand replied to karen353's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Jessica, my dr showed me a specific way of picking up a child, but still warned me not to try it for AT LEAST 2 weeks. You will be having major surgery and even if you feel normal right away as I did.. You're not healed by far. You need to perhaps arrange for help at least the first week. After that I had a huge problem forgetting I couldn't lift and kept catching myself -

If you do enough research and planning you can have after care here in the states also. My PCP made sure I was going to be more than cared for and arranged for me to have my check ups with him and any needed apps with a nutritionist. I didn't go to the that particular nutritionist because I prefer my NP nutritionist who also supplies me with B-12 shots. My insurance pays ZERO for wls, but pays for any care that keeps me healthy so it's covered %100 -
Sleeve: The UNTOLD Story
Ms.AntiBand replied to NotTelling2013's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
It was just on the news this morning that moms who have all boys live an average of 8 months less than moms with girls. Obviously, they didn't take the toll of having teenage girls into consideration. -

Sleeve: The UNTOLD Story
Ms.AntiBand replied to NotTelling2013's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I would not have put myself in a situation that required me to make a last minute decision about my surgery...as in getting up and running out And btw.. I consider my dr in MX my personal dr and I have been to your "3rd world country" MX for three surgeries, my daughters twice and we go there by choice. And are going back in the fall. You're too uneducated to be making the comments that you have already allowed to escape your ignorant mouth. Ok, I'm probably being a tad harsh, but it's obvious you insist on backing up something that has no merit Do some research before you continue, please? -

That's only because you fear the unknown. 99% of facilities are very clean and acceptable to even the pickiest people. Some facilities surpass some of the best places in the states. Being naive tends to blur people views. I am so glad I have experienced MX surgery in many areas and because I have educated myself of the facts I will return there along with my family for further medical needs. I consider drs there as my personal drs. The communication they continue to have with me is astounding and very impressive. -
I'm a chronic migrainer also, but I've had meds that have stopped them like a miracle.. So glad you're no longer suffering.

Triggered by a tattoo
Ms.AntiBand replied to cyncitygirl's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
When my daughter got her tattoo (at 16) without our permission I just about died! I just knew for sure she was going to hell and forever going to be a floozy! Seriously, I was so worried about what my parents and others would think of me as a parent. It's how we were raised and it's hard to not let that com out hn change happens.. Especially when it's unepectantly sprung on us. It's been 25 years and I've gotten over it (didn't take but a few days) and I realized I can't force my views on anyone.. But my husband 'cause he just rolls his eyes and says yeah, yeah... Hang in there OP.. They will come around nd realize this isn't a major deal
