  1. I have to admit.. After reading these sliders I feel sick to my stomach. Even what posted sounds gross. Sooooo glad the sleeve and my mind has made me come to terms with the desire to eat.

    Pet Peeve

Nah uh.. I'm slower than y'all

    Almost only overweight...

LOL.. I'm running out of creative adjectives to describe my reaction to all these amazing before and after posts. Congrats.. You have done very well and look great

Think it, say it, be it!

Right on! I have been on a natural high since my wls and I refuse to let anything negative get me. I'm a slow loser BUT .. I am still a loser!
  5. It's only temporary. And contrary to what most post.. It's not going to melt away like it did the first few weeks. But the weight will continue to come off over time. It's not a race and it's time to be patient and know its going to work if you make it work. Embrace any weight you lose as part of the new you and hang it there. I'm a slow loser and I just have to accept it.

    CENTURY CLUB!

Congrats! What a journey... Good job!

    Freaking week-long stall.

Heh.. Hang in there! It gets better .. Ok, I'll be honest, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. With that said, no use worrying about it
  8. LOL.. Reminds me of my daughter coming with me to MX for wls. She ended up with such bad diarrhea she said, "you come here for wls and I lose 10 lbs" we still laugh about her having to use all the "anti" meds I brought for myself, but never needed

    Drainage Tube

I few have had to go home with one. I only had mine for a day and a half but there was a good size hole left when it came out. Strangely, though it's healed up like a teeny birthmark

    Pet Peeve

Tit for tat.. Can't please everyone

Cottage Cheese - What do I do with it?

Definitely with pineapple, but I also will sometimes mixe it with poppyseed dressing... YUM!

    MY experience

EXACTLY! It can happen anywhere.. Even in the states, you just don't always hear about it. I used to be a medic with a ambulance company and affiliated with a big city hospital .. Trust me, people don't have a clue what isn't talked about in the states.

    MY experience

As she said, she believes this experience is an exception to the overall. I think the biggest assets one can have before going to MX is a close relationship with the Cordinator. If its not perfect before its not likely to improve. Whith an excellent Cordinator, things will run perfect and you won't be surprised or put in positions you don't care to be in. My Cordinator explained every detail that would be happening and if I wanted she would be there at all times. We had to shoo her away to spend time with her own family. As for the facilities and staff, not sure what went on, but maybe the Cordinator or doc should have been called or contacted and helped. This isn't acceptable.. Even in MX and someone needs to be told. I'm returning for plastics next fall.

    Marshmallows?

I would avoid them just for the fact that it's like eating a sugar cube times 4. Not that you should never have one again, but I'd waste my carbs on something with more value. I love roasted marshmallows and I know I have to stay away from them or I'll be sorry. Who knows.. Maybe once I taste one I'll realize I don't like them anymore.. LOL, I hope for my sake

    TSA agent questioned my ID

That's awesome! What a great feeling you must have gotten.. Or still have! Good for you
  16. Most docs do a leak test while you're still under and my doc and most other MX docs do one prior to discharge.. Or you stay in to repair the leak. Makes sense to me!

    So discouraged...

I had a several week stall and then 5 lb loss with the flu. Every once in a while I lose a couple lbs, but nothing to yippee about. I take that back.. YIPPEE.. I'm getting smaller! Slow, but sure Hang in there. It's not going to help by frettin' so you might as well relax and be happy your healthier than before and remember its not a race.

    Help

I was ready to go one when I woke up after surgery. There are some good and bad for sure, but I lucked out and got all good! LOVE MY SLEEVE! It is scary, but do you want to continue so unhealthy you can't enjoy life? Good luck.. And see you on the loser side

    It was HORRIBLE!

One more thing they can charge someone for.. Whether it be to you or your insurance company. This is getting out of hand if you ask me As for the test itself? .. WTH.. I've had it done, but never while I was awake! LOL.. No way could they hold me down for it.. That's crazy!

    Graduation question

I agree.. This a a very proud moment for your family. I did do the graduation thing when I received my BA, nd id a memorable extended family gathering? I didn't with my Masters or PhD... Once was plenty. If not for you do it for your family, it means something. You'll be a shining star and a multi-goal meeter
  25. Goal weigh for 1st day of summer is my goal weight of 125 BUT I'll be extremely pleased within 10 lbs of that
