LOL.. But I think some people avoid the room. Hahaha.. Silly peeps!
  2. I wouldn't go back to the band.. EVER! If you slipped once it could mean probably future problems too. The band has a vast more complications than any wls and if you have a choice then research and research. My sleeve surgery was a breeze. Out of all my band surgeries I had one that was a lot worse than my sleeve. The others were easy as my sleeve.. As if I never even had surgery

    Veggies on pureed food phase

Green food dye? Frozen peas, beans etc are perfect. Just steam and purée. I used my baby food steamer/cooker/purée. Stay away from asparagus since its fairly difficult to digest this early in the stage. Also stay away from broccoli because it's disgusting, smelly and I hate it and no one in their right mind should like it

    Nauseas. Grumbly. Normal? Advice?

Are you sure you need the pain meds? I'd try to wean from it and then maybe things will calm down a bit. Percocet can cause a lot of different effects..

LOL.. I didn't even notice you were (and still can't see "it" anyway) nekkid until others pointed it out There are 100's of semi and very nekkid pics around and it doesnt bother me. My motto is, hey, we all have it what's the big deal. ALTHOUGH that said, no will be seeing my ugly nekkid ass, thats fer sure! Anyway, perhaps in the future, for the sake of the more conservative, you could note on your post title what the pic shows Just my worthless two cents

    Itchy palms

When I have an allergic reaction to something I eat this happens, but you just had surgery and that could cause too. The anesthesia is most likely the culprit or some opioids used for pain. But heck.. I ain't no doc so it could be anything
  9. Oh dear.. LOL, here we go again hijacking the thread!
  10. Yes, I'm a light sleeper too and it drove me nuts. PLUS on and off every time you want to walk or use the facilities. They want you to walk walk walk.. But its like they tell you that as you're shackled to the bed! ARRGGH!

    TUMMY TUCK TOMORROW MORNING

hey ljp, who did you sleeve in Acuna? I had my band done there and loved it. I found the town such a fascinating and cultural enjoyment ever And yes I'd love to know about TT etc in TJ also
  12. I agree with Laura. Just stay active and don't lie around. This is why I disagree with patient who need to travel and get wheelchairs at the airport. It's bad enough you sit on the plane for hours.. Sitting in a wheelchair at airport is counterproductive and possibly dangerous. WALK WALK WALK!
  13. Gmanbat, I dont know if I missed it in you response or you did, but another type is a brain clot. Just buried a friend last Thursday who suffered a brain blood clot post varicose vein surgery. The Worst Headache You’ve Ever Had If your doctor hasn’t told you to expect a severe headache after your procedure, and you do not normally suffer from severe headaches, you should seek immediate medical attention. A severe headache can be caused by a blood clot traveling to the brain after surgery. She was 49

    Steri-strips. Heeelp!

Mine didn't last over a week, but my incisions were glued and looked great by then.

    Ethnic foods

I'm thinking since this is not just an American procedure any and all types of food are tolerable at some point post-op LOL... Unless everyone around the world converts to American foods post-op

    Child's reaction to surgery

My youngest is 27 and also told me I didn't need it and then threw a fit. I told him to deal with it! LOL.. I really didn't say that, but he knew I would do it anyway, but had to toss his 2 cents in just for good measure. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to be use you know our kids best. Some can be told and some need a sugar coating
  18. I had complications with my lapband and if your insurance doesn't cover wls they are not obligated to pay for complication from wls either. And trust me, they wont be generous or feel bad. Even in the event of life saving/reviving. I have paid nearly $100,000 in urgent care in regards to my lapband Follow up care is different. My PCP never ever codes anything wls

Mexico drs = NO diet pre op?

Three days is nothing. My MX dr required liquids and yogurt. I started slamming protein drinks also. I was at a lower BMI too and I don't think that has anything to do with it anyway. It's prep for surgery regardless of what you weigh I think that's what you were saying/asking?
  20. Are you asking because you worry about the process itself or the outcome?
  21. Could be as simpe as eating too fast, or too much, or not chewing enough, or drinking with meals. These things can cause you to become nauseous or dizzy
  22. Ms.AntiBand

    Anyone else stalled?

I agree. Track your intake and you may see where the stall is coming from. So many hidden calories that sneak in.. You'll be amazed
  23. Heh.. Pre-sleeve I was an ice creamaholic and a serious Cereal killer.. I can't eat those anymore. I AM SOOOOO HAPPY
  24. Personally I think the doc is a bit premature on saying this. There are many reasons for pain right where you described it and gallbladder issues, like you said are a bit further into weightloss. Sometimes a sharpe sudden pain can be gas build up in stomach or intestines that just needs to dissipate. OR.. It could be anything lol. If it continues contact your doc for further instructions
  25. Ooooh my.. Wink wink Lol... You've come along ways! CONGRATS.. And good job
