It's normal. Just be patient and try tweaking your carbs and fluid intake.

Any sleevers under 24?
Ms.AntiBand replied to thundathighsz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yep, us geezer sleevers have a tougher time.. You should do great though -
how long after surgery did you go back to work or travel?
Ms.AntiBand replied to BKLYNgal87's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was ready to go back to work right away, but I had scheduled time off so I took it. All of us MX patients travel within days of our surgery.. Some from Canada, Hawaii, NZ, etc. I'm thinking travel is ok as long as you have walking room and don't have to sit for hours at a time. Always check with your doc first though since he knows your situation best -
Drain site care?
Ms.AntiBand replied to fletcherette's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
After awhile I only loosely covered it so that anything coming into contact with it wouldn't irritate it. I remember thinking it was so uggy looking, but it turned out to heal very nicely. -
I agree. I thought the sleeve was as drastic as I cared to Go. Plus I have a friend who got a bypass and she has always looked so unhealthy.. Like she's lacking nutrients and is dull. Even her long hair now looks like its brittle. Could be from lack of vitimin absorption as most bypass patients suffer from. I never asked her. She is on lifetime meds too

You need to try to delete one of your HELP posts Sheesh.. The way you posted I thought maybe it was a dang medical emergency! Calm down! Stalling is normal and aside from adjusting things like fluid intake and carbs you may have to wait it out I stalled at 2 weeks and continued to stall for weeks. Be patient, it will work out

Ms.AntiBand replied to Katrina Parsons Colemire's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wonder if that means there are more fat people in Seattle just kidding! But Seriously, I have heard that this can effect weight loss. Can't remember where I read it, but I'll look for it. -

Truth about carbonation
Ms.AntiBand replied to whitneymalae's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't drink carbonation because I'm a firm believer it robs the skin of moisture and nutrients. That is why I look 40 and not 50 something. -
Pulled something?
Ms.AntiBand replied to bringiton's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
^^Yep^^ You may have pulled some scaring tissue on the inside...which can be painful for a few days. But, If you develop increasing pain, fevers and chills….then you should seek medical attention as soon as possible. I would take it easy for a couple of days and see if it improves -
I gained an extra 10lbs after I confirmed my surgery.. ugh! I don't even bother shopping. I stuck with uggy baggy sweatshirts and borrowed jeans. Even n MX. I refused to buy anything more in a larger size. I kept telling myself.. Nope I'm saving my money for the smaller clothes to come. I totally underhand the depression though. I was so depressed about my weight. I could not clear my mind of how missable I was and it just kept cycling to where I hated myself. Anyway.. Chin up girl.. You're on your way to a new healthy and happier you!

Yikes.. I don't know

from band to sleeve
Ms.AntiBand replied to depressed_diva's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
A lot of insurance carriers have paid for the revision with out a hitch and others drag their feet. I'm thinking it depends on yours. I was self paid because my insurance doesn't cover wls at all. As for weight gain between band and sleeve.. UGH... I gained 75 lbs, but because of severe complications and damage from lapband I had to wait 18 months to be cleared for sleeve. Good luck! -

ALWAYS disclose everything to your urge on. Not doing o could be dangerous. The nicotine patch has nicotine in it so you will have to be free of nicotine for how ever many days your doc requires you to be. I don't know anything about the e-cig. You may want to call the office and just ask the general question of whether the dr requires his patients to quit smoking and if so how many days before. Then get your butt busy making that gaol

Ms.AntiBand replied to Sannah's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hooray for you! Fantastic job and so glad you stayed positive and kept it up... You look amazing And what a doll in your pro pic.. Cutie pie! -
As long as doc is well aware of all your history there shouldn't be a problem.. Or he/she would have informed you before this.

Stones are wickedly painful! Are the docs doing anything for you?
