Ms.AntiBand replied to Cyant's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
LOL.. Like being on a plastics forum and saying, I'm not as ugly as most everyone here and everyone tells me how pretty I am without cosmetic surgery.. Should I do it? -

I don't know what your doc ok'd you to eat so I can't tell you. As for continuing to lose.. Most likely, but prepare yourself for stalls because they will happen whether you pout, complain, regret, or feel sorry for yourself so you might as well accept the fact and be patient and happy. Don't waste time being negative.. It's a journey not a race! -

Under 180Lbs And Getting Sleeved, Anyone Else?
Ms.AntiBand replied to Cuaya's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Aren't you going to have to do this with the sleeve also? The sleeve is a tool just like the band. Only difference I found is you can eat healthier foods and its safer -

Adolescence and Obesity
Ms.AntiBand replied to crazeemoose's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
First of all.. Welcome! And second, congrats on taking the steps to become a healthier and happier you .. Especially at such a young age. I only wish I could have done this 35 years ago and I wouldn't have yoyo'ed my way into such unhealth. Good for you! Now, chances are you're not really hungry, but some do say they didn't lose their hunger post-op, so who knows, right? Either way, you have to set your mind and realize you're the one who gets to say if you're really hungry or not. You will know when you're full and if you don't.. Your new tummy will let you know and not in a kind way at all. It only took me once to know never eat too much, too fast or the wrong thing and from then on I ate with caution. I see you're from the Seattle/Evt area... So am I pm me if you need support -
NO! IMHO, regardless of what your nut/dr says, there is absolutely NOTHING good in either diet or non diet soda pop. We've already put our body through $h!t by being obese and nutritionally unbalanced for gosh knows how many years .. Why continue? Be smart and be good to the new you
-
IMHO.. No because regardless of what your doc/nut says.. There is absolutely nothing good in soda pop whether it's diet or not. We've already put our body through crap by being over weight and nutritionally unbalanced for gosh only knows how many years. Be smart and be good to your new you

The myth that high BMIers lose more quickly
Ms.AntiBand replied to TES's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
TES.. I'm going to agree with you on this. From what I've read on the forum a lot of higher BMI's do tend to lose quickly, but not all. Just like most, but not all lower BMI'ers lose slowly. I think it has to do with prior diet/intake/health compared to sleeved diet/intake/health. Sometimes with high BMI'ers and some lower, there's a HUGE dramatic cease of caloric intake from what their norm was and therefore there's going to be a quick and vast weight loss. -
Tad bit perplexed
Ms.AntiBand replied to MsVictorious1020's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have to agree with Laura.. I haven't seen any out right tips for cheating either. I think majority of its joking and making light of things. Kind of how we deal with things is to be funny about it, but not seriously suggesting anyone try to cheat themselves. We ARE here for encouragement and the way we tend to do it is to let others know its not always easy, but it's doable with the right mindset and even have fun at the same time -

STUCK in a RUT between thin & not fat enough
Ms.AntiBand replied to Cyant's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sheesh.. I get home from work and have a gazillion stuck in a rut notices ... BTW, y'all notice the OP'er is gone? Must be our charming charisma But, notice that another low BMI'er posted today and did it right... Excellente! -
I had mine for a day and a half.. Can't imagine longer! Doesn't hurt during removal, but it's an unexplainable weirdest feeling ever! No stitch or glue just an uggy hole that looks like its the grand canyon, but heals like it was never there.. Another weird

New here! Any low BMIers?
Ms.AntiBand replied to Teachamy's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Welcome Amy.. I had a 33 BMI at surgery time and it's been great. I don't think anything is different from others BMI'ers having the sleeve except possibly slower at losing. BUT.. That also happens to higher BMI'ers. So who knows? We're all in the same boat with the same struggles and paddling towards the same shore here.. Less weight and healthier life. -
How much will I really lose?
Ms.AntiBand replied to dand_75's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
If you use the sleeve correctly and learn to live a healthy life you will lose whatever you want. How many of us will do that? Probably not many.. But I'm hell bent on trying. -
Ladies! Did your cycle change?
Ms.AntiBand replied to albertamom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok, I can top y'all I'm 55 and have been looking forward to menopause for almost thirty years. Over the last year I actually stopped my TOM and thought I was to enter into the never-have-another-period-again stage in life. BUT OOOOOH NOOOOO.. That wasn't to be for me! I'm three months post-op and guess whose had three periods. Go figure!
